Ajax and a full Dutch internaional at a young age, something must of gone wrong if he can't get a game.

Yes it does seem bizarre.

Yes,the deal has collapsed and the opportunity to move yet another of Steve's signings to make up the numbers has been missed, although players of a similar ilk have been successfully shipped out.Is that number up to six with currently, no new outfield players signed and Roy apparently, not expecting any before the window shuts??

Didn't he say there were no imminent signings, rather than that there would be no signings? I'm confident we'll sign one or two bodies. I'm not so positive that they will be live ones.

Well our home form certainly needs resurrecting.

Rumours are that it is us holding up this deal as Celta Vigo want a loan with an option to purchase at the end of the season whilst hard up Palace want a sale now

If this happens and with Kaikai now gone too, Hodgson must be really happy with just the first 11 and Schlupp to see us out for the rest of the season.

I genuinely worried about our depth. All it takes is 2 injuries and we are quite literally in trouble with the amount of outfield players we have.

Defence:
Dann, PVA, AWB, Tomkins, Sakho, Kelly, Ward

Midfield: Luka, Meyer, Kouyate, Townsend, Zaha, Schlupp, McArthur

Forwards:
Ayew, Benteke, Wickham

Not included Souare as he's injured and this is assuming Reidewald goes.. this is so light.

Still 17 outfield players. In order for us to ensure we can be competitive in the transfer market in the summer, it makes no sense having players on the wage bill not playing. Jiro hasn’t kicked a ball in the league and is on 55k a week.

Well we’re either doing good business and getting rid of dead wood so to speak and saving on the huge wage bill we have, being prepared for a possible relegation or hopefully making some room for victor Moses and god forbid a striker that may actually score.

I'm glad, as I believe he will be an excellent player. Very young, but looked good on the ball when he played last time. Reminds me of Harry Winks and he has done OK for Spurs.

Let's keep the ball this season!

None of the players who have gone are really capable of filling those spots though, they were just bodies on the wage bill.

Might as well save a few hundred grand each week and play young players if we do suddenly have an injury crisis.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I think you are right. Puncheon handed Man City a goal last week, for instance

I'm guessing the feeling is Fulham and Huddersfield are doomed and not all of the other teams in the mix are better than us, especially Cardiff with their tragic loss

Sometimes teams that are relegated feel no pressure and start performing. I would be wary of Cardiff it can go either way and I am sure Warnock will galvanise the team over this tragedy

Looks like a good starting line up to me. I've always liked the 7-7-3 formation, very solid.
