At least we gave them a game but would have liked Benteke on to see what he could do. Still a long way to go. Current bottom 3 to go down.

Fulham and Huddersfield f*cked beyond repair, I fancy. Perm one from 14th to 18th. I fear Brighton won't get sucked in (but probably off).

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Well said, made a mistake but was not to blame for the loss.Defenders pratting about in the box and lucky deflections for the dippers.

Turning on Speroni is about as idiotic as calling for Hodgson to be sacked.

Get a grip, ffs.

Speroni had a poor game, you can't deny that.
I've seen keepers over Purley Way do better than he did today.
A good servant to the club but it really is time to hang up his gloves and maybe go coaching.

Giving the potential champions such a close game feels like little consolation atm. Gutting to concede 3 such poor/unlucky goals.

Positives Wilf back to his best, Meyer gets first goal, Wickham had an impact, team scored 3 decent goals.

Need to be picking up 4 points from next two games.

I know this is said every week but I just don't get Roy's substitutions.

We desperately needed some one up front to hold the ball up. Ayew should have been substituted at half time then to bring schlup pn when youvd just gone a goal down..WTF. Way too late to bring wickham and meyer on.
Such a shame, as it was a really gutsy performance which we deserved something out of.

Oh, and I f****(g hate that cheating b*****d Salah

Ayew won the corner and held off two defenders so that Tomkins had a free header for our second goal, so there is that. I do think Wickham should have come on 10 minutes earlier though, as Ayew was starting to slow down. For me the insistence on bringing Schlupp on is the bigger issue. At one point he'd just come on, gave the ball away and then just jogged back into his own half. Ignoring his lack of ability the guy just doesn't seem to put a shift in. His few goals this season seem to have bought him a lot of credit with Roy.

Agreed re Fulham and Huddersfield but can’t see Cardiff staying up either

Yes he cost us potential points today. But ou're stating the obvious. It's not like he's first choice. A third choice keeper usually is pretty much retired and by the next game Wayne or Vicente might be fit plus the new guy may be here as well.

We've scored as many goals at Anfield and the Etihad this season as we have in 11 home games, just a bats*** mental club to support.

Unfortunately Newcastle, Southampton and Burnley have all basically caught us up now but we have a hugely important run of games coming up; Southampton (.A), Fulham (H), West Ham (H), Leicester (.A), United (H), Burnley (.A), Brighton (H). With the obvious exception of United, all of them are winnable games. Take 11/12 points from that lot and we're almost safe.

Good to see Meyer on the scoresheet, hopefully that buys him a start.

Being a relatively short keeper Jules always relied on his athleticism, but at 39 your body is on a downward spiral. I'm not a professional, but I'm 39 and I find that with each passing game I play my body loses a bit of bounce. I really hope he plays the next game, plays a blinder and then he gets to say goodbye on a high and then VG or Wayne come back in.

Bear in mind Liverpool are top of the league, it’s unfortunate this was the game Julian had his first game for over a year. Comment on BBC - Liverpool has only conceded 3 goals in the past 15 games, then they concede 3 today

At least we should be first game on MOTD

Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season?

I'd lost any athleticism I might have had at 19, let alone 39.
