Very sad news, I hope he is found and is ok however the channel is very unforgiving. Helicopters and light aircraft always seem to be the ones that bring heartbreak to the rich and famous.

Have you seen the tinpot plane he was in? You can legally fly them age 17, looks like something the air cadets train in. You wouldn't put a suitcase with 18million euros in it on a flying soda can like that, so why put your new player on it? A charter flight would be justified for a few grand ffs.

They lose the 20 million I imagine, although they can write the cost of the asset off against tax over the period of his contract. I doubt all the money would have left the account anyway and will be subject to clauses. It'll be interesting to see what happens if there's a stand still period or other clause. Had he passed the medical? In any case, let's hope for a miracle and that none of this will be relevant.
