Agree with some comments but when you think of his age and the fact he has played for his country who have had a pretty good list of forward players I just think he could be worth a shout. It would be a gamble but would not command the wages of Benteke and I'm sure he will want to prove a point that he is a player capable of making a statement in this league. It is unlikely to happen but when you look at the prices for other players who are hardly proven, I think we could probably get him for close to Ł10m, and in todays prices what else would we get? Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

I'd rather take a punt on a 24 year old like Janssen that has some unproven upside than some of the other 28 yrs+ that have been rumoured like Niasse or Bolassie, who would probably cost the same. Janssen is a different type of player I think could give Roy a different tactical option, and at 24 he might be old enough for Roy to trust him on the pitch.

I'd rather take a punt on a 24 year old like Janssen that has some unproven upside than some of the other 28 yrs+ that have been rumoured like Niasse or Bolassie, who would probably cost the same.

Janssen is a different type of player I think could give Roy a different tactical option, and at 24 he might be old enough for Roy to trust him on the pitch.

Whoa back, you sounded reasonable for a second there. Roy doesn't want tactical options, it's plan A for every scenario. He's either just another body behind the ball or he's a defensive/like for like substitute on 80 mins, simple as that.

Whoa back, you sounded reasonable for a second there. Roy doesn't want tactical options, it's plan A for every scenario. He's either just another body behind the ball or he's a defensive/like for like substitute on 80 mins, simple as that.
