I think it’s time to let go. He’s been great for us but he hasn’t looked the same player recently and he deserves a chance to play for a team that can offer him Champions League football rather than staying with us and never really knowing what he might have achieved. We’ve become too reliant on him and the money would help us rebuild and move forward.

I kind of agree with you, I feel like maybe we're holding him back a little, I'd like to see him play in a good team surrounded by decent players, forget the Man Utd debacle, that was the wrong time and as it turned out the wrong manager who didn't use him. I'd love him to stay but I don't begrudge him a decent move.

However I don't trust us to reinvest the money wisely.

It blows my mind to see terms like "average player" being used and how ready people are to sell him. We are abysmal without him. Do people think it was just a coincidence that we didn't win for two and half years when he wasn't in the squad?

If he played in a top team where he didn't have three men marking him constantly and had players around him who can get in positions/finish, his stats would be miles better.

His end product could obviously be better, but to suggest that we wouldn't be severely impacted losing him (even if we got £60m) to me is rubbish.

I remember hearing that it's even longer since we won a game without McArthur in the team but that's never mentioned (if true).

Probably a good time to sell to the highest bidder(Dortmund or Spurs) and invest the bulk of the proceeds into strengthening the squad.
Wilf deserves the opportunity to compete at the highest level, rather than fighting to save us against relegation year after year and zero chance of ever winning silverware!!

Sometimes you go to a football match and hope to see something special now and then. Zaha is the player that can produce this for us on a regular basis.

For me its not just about the team and results, its also about these moments of ecstatic enjoyment. Yes, of course , I want us to stay up and there needs to be a balance.

However, I fear losing Zaha would be like losing a limb going forward.

The only reason he should go is if he himself really wants to and the price is right.

If wants to go I rather he goes to Dortmund than to a rival premier league club.

He has to go to a bigger club with more quality around him to truly reach his full potential.

If things carry on for him this season the way they have so far, getting north of 50m quid is fair enough.

It should be done over the summer, and be sorted early so that the players can come to terms with it, and so that the money can be used to bring in a winger etc.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I'm not against Zaha leaving if it's good for him and a good deal for the club. However, I'm worried we'll do a good job at immediate post-Zaha life.
I'm thinking a lot of the first instalment will go towards balancing the books (Sakho, Benteke) and paying United's sell on fee (if any). We'll have to get another goalie to replace Speroni+Wayne (in case the latter is let go for disciplinary reasons) and getting a couple of modest players on high wages (i.e. a Matt Ritchie and Andy Carroll combo). Or imagine there's an automatic transfer fee for Ayew triggered if he hits a certain number of games...
We would be starting next season with Schlupp and Wickham still very close to first-team football and that depresses me.

No we need to bring in a winger first, otherwise we will get striped up on the price once people know we have the Zaha money.
Bournemouth done it the right way, signed a replacement for Callum Wilson before they sell him. That way they will get top money for Wilson and won’t pay over the odds on a replacement.

Agreed but at the end of this season. Without Zaha, I struggle to see how Palace would stay up = current position is far too precarious to dispense of the services of our best player. Also Club shouldn't settle for anything less than £70m for Zaha.
