Kevin Friend.

His only other Palace match so far this season was the 3-1 defeat at Brighton.

VAR will be in operation, with Lee Mason supervising.

Hopefully no incorrect penalty or corner decisions this time then.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

In which he demonstrated once again his total lack of talent for posterior-humerus differentiation. And that VAR ref isn't much better BTW.

I'd say we're 1 from 1 with VAR decisions so far.

Not that I like it very much.

Optimistic as ever

He was useless in that Brighton game even if we did deserve to lose!

He was no Friend to us on the South Coast and I suspect he won’t be on Sunday either.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

They usually do with VAR looking over their shoulders.

Could hardly refuse to give us that pen. The Spurs one was dodgy enough though with people offside FFS.

Also it's funny how a high tackle in the first few minutes is a red card if you're Grimsby and play on if you're Spurs.

Cannot say we deserved to lose that game because we were chasing it unfairly at 1-0 and then 2-0, before the pen we were causing far more problems for them then they were us, all they had to do was defend after the first and second goals and everyone who goes to that ground understands how good they are at defending, not many better, very good manager they have....Newcastle were absolutely nuts.

this penalty lark is very weird to me, a shot that is goal bound and prevented should definitely be a spot kick and our kick today also because our player was free on goal from behind, but the Spurs penalty had at least two of our players around the ball ready to challenge not including van Aanholt's silly boot which as far as I can tell wouldn't have resulted in a free shot at goal, I feel free kicks in the penalty area are much more warranted in these situations, doing this will put a stop to players thinking about diving the second anyone comes near.
