This post has been merged from a topic called 'James McCarthy bid.' by bexleydave Jenkinson and McCarthy? 4 years ago they may have been decent players. Now both well past their best and probably Championship at best. As I put on another post needs players in early to bed in. Parish won’t do that. Players in late, slow start, try and make up. Rinse and repeat, year after year. This year seems worst than most. £45m in from AWB and no sign of us spending any more than a quarter of it. Probably on deadline day to washed up has beens like McCarthy and Jenkinson. At least invest in promising youngsters. If it goes wrong, at least we tried.

I’m loathe to get obsessed with rumours, but at the moment we are being linked with Roofe, Ayew, Jenkinson and McCarthy... That’s absolutely shocking

Can this guy still be considered a professional players?? He played like 400 minutes in the last 2 seasons. And pay 8 million?!? I thought they would throw him away like a broken tooth next summer when his contract expires.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Really?? We dont need another cm, we have plenty and are fairly strong in that department. He shouldn't be getting in front of kouyate, luka, macs, meyer and even shluup What a waste of money, unless one of those are off thus summer.

McCarthy, Jenkinson, Wilf etc.. all rumours fueled by the medias thirst for news even if it be false news - in the times of social rumours spread and gain momentum like wild fire..!! IMO things are going on in the background hence the perceived "radio silence" - these things we assume include discussions/negotiations over the potential sale/take over of the club - I would think this is/has been pre-occupying the majority of SP's and the boards time. Think we will see transfer activity over the next couple weeks - SP and RH are not stupid they know we need a right back and a striker minimum. For "tuppence worth" wouldn't be surprised to see Clyne and Morealas - as I have mentioned before would love to see Aarons, Maupay and Watkins..!! Time will tell. COYP..!!
