Soton team doesn't really worry me looking at it, apart from Ings and Redmond. Those two always cause us problems. Need McCarthy to put on his Palace form.

Sako instead of Schlupp and that would be a very solid bench. Would have picked Wickham over Ayew though or even Benteke caused problems in his 20 minutes. Hope Ayew can prove me wrong but to me he's 4th choice behind even Sako

We must have the most predictable starting XI in the entire league. Dream of the day that suddenly Meyer and Wickham/Benteke appear in the starting line up.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

I like Meyer but the issue is who he replaces Kouyate or Jimmy Mac. Mac might be good to come on late if we need. Wickham should definitely be starting though in my opinion

Benteke and Wickham back fit and we still start with Ayew 😂 Classic Roy.

Kouyate Mc and Milo is our defensive set up. Maybe if this match was a t home then he would leave Mc or Kouyate out in favour of Meyer..... but then again maybe not!

Lets just see whether our current 1st choice XI can do what the makeshift XI did on Sunday, be interesting.

Surely Wickham and Tekkers combined can do a full 90 minutes ? Clearly Roy doesn't think so and has picked Ayew because of this. Let's hope that anyone of those 3 hit a good run of form as otherwise it will be a very nervy run up to the end of the season. COYP !!

For me Wickham should be first choice at the moment. Good in the air, holds up play well, good movement but he gets in the positions for scrappy goals as well which the others don't seem to do.

A predictable and steady line up rather than anything exciting. If Benteke is fit he should be playing and if he isn’t fully fit and Wickham isn’t either, then I hope we are getting another forward tomorrow.

Let’s hope we can nick it.

In all fairness to Roy and to Ayew, Jordan has been on decent form recently - especially in comparison to his start at the club. If he does well - fair enough; if he does badly then Benteke and Wickham should be getting fitter all the time and will replace him. That would seem reasonable enough.
