He was clearly frustrated himself yesterday and I'm sure I wasn't the only one who thought he was going to get himself sent off. In fact I think he was subbed within minutes of his booking which he should have no complaints over.
Burnley are a physical team and I was surprised that Jimmy Mac wasnt starting. Not his best game but he is a quality player that has brought much needed skills to the team. I agree that he is more suited to more floor based match. I mean how many times did the ball go from keeper to keeper yesterday??

Sorry, whilst I agree with most of what you say I can’t agree with that highlighted. He has played well against the technically gifted sides but not against the cloggers (well, at least not until they tire). His cameo against Utd was excellent and he changed the dynamic of the game with his quick incisive passing. I agree he is nowhere near the finished article however I do think he is capable of starting the game very much dependent upon the opposition, (horses for courses if you like). I admit to being surprised he started against Burnley however I think that was more to do with Roy giving McArthur a rest.

Some foreign players take a season to adapt to the pace of the PL. I think he is one of those players and I hope that next year we will see better things from him.

I think a really good player can do well against any type of opposition .

With Meyer we are either talking inconsistency , or if only performing against the top sides maybe an attitude problem . i.e. only raises his game when he is interested , if indeed he actually does.

Good player but in the wrong league. I can see him going back to the Bundesliga at some stage.

Whilst yesterday's game wasn't the right one to stick him in from the off, it will help him in the long run when it comes to getting used to the speed and physicality of the league. He is still young and given his size it was always going to take a season for him to adjust and get used to the style here.

I hope we stick with him and I hope he gets to start a few on the spin to build up his confidence. I think he could be a big player for us next year especially if he can do the right work over the summer to couple his quality with a bit of strength and conditioning.

I see far too many people on here write signings off after a couple of games as if they expect players to come in set the world alight. People saying Batshauyi isn't the signing for us after a couple of starts despite scoring two goals already.

We need to give players time to settle, Klopp is a fantastic example of doing this with players like Fabinho barely featuring for the first half of the season and now flourishing as he was brought in at the right time. Same with Keita. These two players look fantastic but they are being introduced slowly and with patience. We need to give our players more time before getting on their back and doubting their abilities.
