I see that Glen Murray came of the bench and banged in a couple to win the match last night.

Just wondering if people on here regret his departure or otherwise. I would be good to have a discussion to hear what people think. 😉

Hasn't this been discussed about 10,974 times already but no don't regret him leaving, he is doing well at Brighton but for how much longer and I doubt we would be much better off even if he was still with us. Playing styles of teams generally dictate how many goals a season a striker scores.

After scoring with his arm against us last season, yesterday he scored with his cock.

Brighton should have been down to 10 men and out of the cup before Glenn came on.

His departure was right at the time and has been discussed to death ever since.

I think SP would consider letting Murray go one of his biggest mistakes.

That's life though it happened.

To have someone who is on the spot, in the right place, often just simple goals, is priceless.

Greavesy was an example and Lineker has said he just stood in the right place.

You just have to have that instinct.

How many of those multi-million pound football stars would convert Murray's opportunities?

Just as likely to blaze them over the bar, sorry Wilf.

I thought it was more than that to be honest ! What people forget is that Murray asked to leave, Palace offered him terms and he rejected them you can’t kept someone who is not interested in staying.

As for the match last night WBA v Weed I cannot believe how Andone (weed) was still on the pitch, that was a total deliberate elbow on the WBA player. A right shocker.

It was just over a year ago that he and his wife were arrested after allegations of £1.1m tax fraud.

Nothing further seems to have happened and it doesn't seem to have affected his game

Errr I think the OP was being just a touch ironic with the suggestion of a discussion!

I feel the one thing the HOL lacks is there just aren't enough threads about Glen Murray.

Now if we could only get James Tomkins to score like that not only would he be our finest batsman but we'd probably rack up cricket scores too

He is rock solid in defense.
