Thousands of vulnerable girls raped, some underaged over decades and not one public official sacked yet the leaders were responsible for the low key action.....and indeed, we know that fathers were arrested for trying to intervene...that's how disfigured this got....they can't say that anti Islamic groups weren't drawing attention. Oh no...wait, there was one official who lost their job. Sarah Champion of the Labour party for speaking the truth about the issue. I also want to see action and people held responsible for any rapes that occurred in our childcare institutions as well....before Maple pipes up....though I respect his anger over the issue. You can put your own twist on this if you like, as you do most things on here You were making a general claim that international students pay over double that of home students and then used an example within your own experience. Even your link proved this isn't true. All I have done is support that. That's not twisting anything. It's trying to avoid someone else twisting the truth,

Many years ago I bought a house near Stoke Mandeville. The previous owners had a very sick child who was being treated at the hospital there and Saville had become involved with the family. He used to park his Rolls in what became my garage and get out his folding bike and then ride to the hospital. Everything the family told me about him made me feel very suspicious about his motivations, even then when he was beyond reproach as the major fund raiser for the hospital. So you are quite wrong. The idea of paedophilia being common place was not very much discussed back then but I had my doubts much earlier than most.

Everyone knows that there were failures and that the scale of the problem was not well understood initially. Learning from mistakes and improving how we do things is how we make progress in every walk of life. In time I expect a full public enquiry so that the whole episode can be laid bare and the lessons learned. Until then we need to be circumspect and patient. It is though totally counter productive to attack the Police when what will get a better result is to support and help them. Winding up the public, encouraging vigilantes, wasting Police time and resources on having to respond to the criticism and "protests", doesn't achieve what we all want. Which is to see these criminals detected, stopped and prosecuted. So whilst there is no difference in the desired outcome, there is in the best way to achieve it. I prefer those with information to work with and within the law and it's servants. If you have information take it to the authorities. If you are dissatisfied with their response contact your MP and let them investigate and involve the Home Office if necessary.

I don't have a "gang" but if I did it would have rules that ensured high standards of morality, decency, kindness and generosity of purpose as it's primary purpose. There are only a handful of folk contributing here who would pass that threshold.

we need to be circumspect and patient. This has been happening for decades on a huge scale. A public inquiry surely should have happened once we realized this was happening in 20+ cities. The only reason it's not happening is that the government and Police fear the Muslim population. They appease because they do not have the numbers to control any widespread rioting and would have to call in the army should this happen. This cover up is the worse scandal in UK history.

This white knight who rode into the hospital on his bike, apparently all the way from London. I knew it was just a few miles though but thought that was just what "personalities" did. The family didn't seem to think anything was amiss either and it was their child who was seriously ill and I wasn't going to add to their difficulties. It was only later, when the stories about him started to emerge, that 2 and 2 started to make 4 and I realised how dodgy he had made me feel. It's easy to be wise after the event. Those days were different. Our expectations were different. Hopefully we have learned from them and do things better now.
