I dislike Brighton and their 'new' fans... They are very up themselves and bloody deluded!.. Although I'm not overly bothered about them if I'm honest... Like another on here... I really dislike West Ham and Newcastle fans... Think they have a god given right to be successful for some reason. Obviously I hate Man Utd but that's purely for the Cantona thing. I actually like Chris Hughton and rate him as a manager... I would love to have him here to be honest!!
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

I never gave them much thought in my time as a supporter since 93/94, it was always nice to get one over them, but yeah, i prefer london derby's or grudge matches. The cup tie last year showed me it was gone, no one took it seriously and empty seats at the amex showed what it meant to them. They are in a good place right now, albeit a current slide... stadium, long term plan, half decent squad.. they and we have different fish to fry. In my last job i bumped into a teenager who heard i was palace and he seriously ignored me and said he didn't like me - i could never understand his stance. I actually saw it as more of an oppertunity for them to have a rival in us. Anyways, good luck to them, i really don't care - which would probably hurt them more.
This was once a quality forum.... |

football itself has changed so much. Brighton today feels safer /more pleasant than any game back in the day where a team brought a large following (and there would always be actual aggro rather than the posturing you get today). hate for any set of fans feels a bit contrived in that environment, and where so many many women and kids now attend games.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |
