For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

Sadly the world has moved on. In earlier days children were taught about dangers but now those dangers seem to have become victims.

Little Red Riding Hood found that a loving action - going to see Granny - could contain danger to her. She got to Granny's house and found that Granny had been eaten. She was told by the adult telling the story that going out alone was dangerous and that "wolves" it whatever clothes they might wear were a source of danger.

We now hear that "wolves" are a misunderstood minority - not being able to enjoy a meal of three piglets due to adverse circumstances - and should be respected as victims.

There is a need to stand back (as Mr Peterson? does) to assess every set of comments from every source.

I think you will find that there are no obsessions here.

What we have on this site is a balance of views and some people who for some reason think that others are not entitled to an opinion.

I never see any race related discussions on here. All I see is people using the word 'racist', which in almost every case is completely inaccurate, in conversations about immigration, identity politics or religion.

These are subjects that have become daily news because of mass immigration and related world affairs.

Would you like it if no one was allowed to discuss these topics?

Every football fan knows that racism has to be kicked out.

So why is it being promoted here on a football forum.

Far right = homophobic, anti semitic, condoning violence, militaristic, censorship of debate, eugenics, white supremacy (except for african far-right found in africa), holocaust denial, pro capital punishment for murderers, etc etc.

not seen any of that on here.

Far left = calling everybody 'wacist', anti patriotic, open doors immigration, Corbyn's antisemitism, attacking the Nuclear Family, defending organised pakistani Paedo gangs, bonkers gender re-defining linguistic panagyrics, EU monolithic superstate supporting, militant egalitarianism, approval of the Swedish welfare State disaster, hating of heterosexual able-bodied conservative white men, disapproval of 'stop-and-search' for urban youth gangs, the insistence that islam is perfectly compatible with western society,

not much of that on HOL neither, but you may find the latter on another Palace fansite.

both ideologies are potentially troublesome.

I used to frequent this website all of the time, albeit as a lurker. I'd read posts about transfer rumours, team line ups, general Palace news and always dipped into the general other chat.

Now I don't bother. It's basically become an forum where a select few members spout often ridiculous, exaggerated, false or downright offensive opinions and gang up on anybody who disagrees. I've actually seen the website discussed elsewhere as a cesspit of hard right views.

Palace is a multicultural, welcoming club, with people from all backgrounds but you sure as hell wouldn't know it from this forum. I rarely come here now and can't stand that the topics here are a reflection of the club that I know.

I'm sure I'll get the expected attacks on this from the usual suspects.
