This is a big factor in what is going on here.

The argument being made could be applied to anyone. It could be applied to those who are being accused of 'radicalising'.

If this was an ugly bloke in her place....would we be getting quite the same responses? I doubt it personally....Not that I disagree with treating them differently but that this stuff comes from people who often talk about 'equality' being important.

'White Knights'.

Am I the only one to find it ironic that I keep seeing phrases like 'only a schoolgirl' 'a silly little girl' ' a child of 15' and words like 'young' and 'innocent' and 'easily led' and those very same comments about a willing and unrepentant now 19 year old jihadi bride are coming from pretty much the same people who shout about how 15 and 16 years olds are intelligent and mature enough to be given the vote in a second EU referendum as they have the knowledge and ability to decide on their future.........

Also, lets look at the behaviour of the mainstream media here.

How much drama and advocacy was the mainstream outlets putting out for for Asia Bibi? That pakistani Christian who was an apostate from Islam and whose life was in danger from Islamists.

Very little....certainly far lower key...The government very clearly didn't want to upset....the oh so mainstream community here and the mainsteam media mostly went along with it.

Yet look at the response for a teenager whose ambition was to be a jihadi bride and who went and joined Islamic State to make that happen.

The hypocrisy and appeasement is out there front and centre....Now I do have concern for that baby....but its father is Dutch and this woman clearly has contempt for this country excepting the religious Islamic community within it.

In my view this should be a problem for the Netherlands....let the advocates for this special form of social cohesion argue for it there.

Loving your work.

We should all know that consistency has no place in politics. Especially identity politics.

Why don't you go over there and 'rescue' her yourself?

I'm sure she will be as grateful as the German who begs for his life in Saving Private Ryan.

Tedious and insincere.

It was a dreadful post.

Have seen several interviews with her today.

No remorse shown whatsoever. Whilst I appreciate we all make mistakes particularly when we are young, this girl isn't sorry in the slightest and only wants to return for her own benefit.

She's also says she's fine with beheadings. Utter, utter bitch.

Needs to be made an example of.

there is a lot wailing and gnashing of teeth, but May needs to face up and develop a policy for returning IS members and other unwanted groups.

With Trump suggesting the US will release fighters she needs some sort of "thought out" strategy.

Feel free to oblige them then........ but in most civilised societies, older people are revered for their acquired knowledge.

You can give young people anything but experience, that they have to learn for themselves!

Have just read that she has named her newborn baby son Jarrah, which means 'one who wounds'.

Just about says it all really.

The really sad thing is that its us lot who will be paying for their council house, health bills, education etc etc etc whilst the good honest working people who built this country often scrimp and save to get by.

Rant over.
