Of course you do.

And your view? Should they have locked her in just in case she ran away to war?

So at no point did her parents think to take her passport then.
It seems there was a build up to her leaving so they must have agreed with her.
Why wouldnt they report her to the police so she would have had a marker on her.
Her parents and family are the instigators of this so i dont feel sorry for any but the 3 dead sprogs.

She didn’t use her own passport

Were they not sympathisers?

To be honest, my sympathy is in short supply for religious lunatics or their offspring.
It is a tragedy when a baby dies but it would be an equal tragedy if it grew up to become another indoctrinated psychopath who was a danger to others just minding their own business.

There is zero sign they were. The Police appeared to know more than them but didn’t predict the three were a danger or in danger

My feeling on the girl's circumstances remains the same either way.
She knowingly joined a band of murdering anti Western maniacs. How much sympathy can a normal person afford?

Who has sympathy for her? I feel sorry for her family and that a baby died.

Hard to know how to feel about someone groomed as a schoolgirl to be the pawn of armchair warriors

Apart from the fact that they met and spoke to her in Raqqar, yeah right. They just go on holidays to a war zone by chance.

Her family could not. She was stripped of her citizenship. I believe they did declare their willingness to do so. I feel genuinely sorry for them.

Lovely, easy sentiment.
If only we could enable you to back these up with actions.

I'd be all up for virtue signallers being able to adopt and sponsor these people, have them live in their houses and guarantee their conduct.

Watch them all melt when it's not just words.

I never voted for or approved of my country filling up with religious zealots and I concern myself with the welfare and safety of people I love and care about who are now potentially at risk because of these people.

"Labour said [the baby's] death was the result of a "callous and inhumane" decision by Home Secretary Sajid Javid. [Link] The story championed by the BBC of course.

Labour are a disgrace.

It's dirty and unethical.

The primary person responsible for that baby's death is its mother. The person who placed it into that situation.

I agree with the view that we should have taken the baby. However, we were under no obligation to do so. It is purely a demonstration of mercy and an affordable sympathy towards an endangered innocence.

It has caveats but part of the responsibility of the strong is to protect the weak......but I respect and understand the anger of many of the Holers here. Just my view.
