Supreme Court has just rejected her appeal to come home.

Great news although no doubt her supporters will carry on the fight, boat trip from Calais anyone?

Wrong decision in my opinion. Stated it before but for me, the fact that she was under 18 when she left means that the state still had a duty of care towards her. She should be taken to an over-seas UK military base, given medical treatment and then subjected to a full investigation as to any future risk she might pose. And then returned to the UK on the understanding that she changes her name and becomes yesterdays story.

And yes, probably an outlier in terms of the Right but I would urge anybody who thinks I am wrong to genuinely take a step back and think about what the age of majority means. We either have 18 as the age which we assume people to be adults or we do not. This is not about her as an individual but all about her age and the fact that she was a British passport holder and born in the UK.

Couldn't agree more.

Normally I agree with most of your posts but I cannot agree with you on this. She may have been 15 when she left but was “adult” enough to leave on her sisters passport, travel with 2 others and end up in Syria. I know many 15 year olds who would not have the nouse to do this. She was fully aware what IS were all about and how they were treating hostages before she left. She made it quite clear what she thought of the U.K. and the West.
Why should she now be allowed medical treatment and accommodation at British taxpayers expense? Once at a British Military Base, next stop would be the U.K. where she would have to be monitored 24/7 at taxpayers expense.
Believe me, they do not remove Citizenship lightly and I suspect the Security Services know more about her activities than we will ever know.
My views may sound harsh but as my old Grandmother used to say “ she has made her bed she can lie in it”.

If she ever comes back she will never work and be a drain on the taxpayer, so no thanks I don't care what happens to her.

As for those who say she should face justice it is unlikely that any evidence will be allowed by a court because those methods will not have been obtained by British legal standards.

I genuinely sympathise and share every single part of your ire with her and struggle to counter any one of your points, all of which I fully understand you holding, beyond the issue that we have 18 as the age of majority.

For me, it really is that horribly simple. My view is not one that I am happy with and I express it with teeth gritted but I simply cannot countenance a state system being able to withdraw citizenship from somebody born in this country based on decisions they made under the age of majority.

The British legal systems highest court denying the right to a fair hearing.

Public safety don't be ridiculous and she is more British than some of the people judging her.

Including Ms. Patel.

But can anyone guarantee she would not be a danger to public safety? Once back, the Lily Allen’s of this world would treat her as some sort of hero and criticise the Govt/ Security Services for monitoring her every move.
