He handled the match well, but it was probably a bit of a doddle for the officials.

I couldn’t see intent in either of the penalty shouts and would have been surprised to have seen them given.

Nailed on penalties IMO.

VAR would have confirmed them both.

How Dean never saw the second one I will never know!

Second one was a nailed on pen. Seen the first one given as well and if VAR was in play they would both be pens.

Edit just seen your post above so agree 100%

Mike Dean had a good game, though in truth it wasn't the most difficult of matches to ref.

Spot on, a few years ago Dean Moxey had a hand ball given against him, and it was half the shout those two that were turned down today. Absolute bottle job by the referee.

Not sure why the Doncaster player on the 2nd shout was holding his head when it clearly hit his arm whether a penalty or not ?

Because he handled it, was afraid the referee would give a pen for it, and tried to trick him.

Must be a magic trick as it worked

Didn't think Mike Dean handled the game as well as their defenders did the ball.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Giving Dean the benefit of the doubt the first one was 50/50, but the second was absolutely nailed on! How he missed that is anyone's guess.

the question has to be asked - how, if Dwight Gayle gets done for successfully misleading the officials, does the Donny lad not have the same charge levelled against him, seeing as he has 100% done the same ???

Clinton is Clinton. I have known him for a long time, I know his mother... Simon Jordan
