Would Bats be able to play if we face Chelsea? I presume not, so I would say not them for us. I'd like to face Brighton as their form is sh!te presently.

Except their cup form isn't.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

According to Parish (where did that thread go by the way ) Brighton and Millwall are on our side of the draw (muppet ) so I guess we will get one of those because he obviously has some inside info .

And we still need a striker

Interesting that all our 'favourite' clubs seem to be snucking into the quarter-finals....

The Hertfordshire Cloggers
The South Coast Softies (ref. The Beano)
The Dockland Thugs

Possibly Man U.

A home draw would be good - if we prevail today, obviously.

Interesting indeed. The fantasy scenario being that we take each one of them out through the remaining games, in order of rivalry magnitude (Thugs, Cloggers then Softies).
In the real world though my heart couldn't stand such agony!

In all honesty winning the cup would quite obviously be massive but I would just like to make it to wembley again.

Presuming we crawl over the PL finishing line, a day out at Wembley might be a nice little bonus for this season!

Swansea at home my 1st choice

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

To me and of course the club, survival in the PL is all important, accordingly I don't give a jot about the FA Cup.

Perhaps if we were safe I might have a frisson of excitement about the cup but we are in a relegation battle and it is imperative we don't slip through that dreaded relegation trapdoor.

If we manage to reach relative safety and find ourselves in the semi-final I might start to dream about a trip to Wembley but at present I am concerned about our standing in the table and don't give two hoots about the cup.

Whoever we get next, if we don't put out a full strength side, I for one, will be extremely f**cked off. I bloody well hope Parish feels the same and has a serious word with Hodgson to make sure this happens. Our defence did look shakey at times yesterday and even Millwall or Swansea will be a different proposition than Doncaster, who if they had had the rub of the green yesterday might have made things a lot more difficult. Also, apart from the two goals and Batsnamn's balls up we created sweet fanny adams up front.

Why don't you?

Surely, the whole point in this game is to try and win stuff. I don't believe that with the maximium of three more games it would affect out chances of staying up or otherwise anyway but even if it did, I'd still want us to go for it. Most Wigan fans would agree.

I can just about understand people not giving a jot, or two hoots about the cup. What I can't understand is why someone would click on a thread called FA CUP next round and then be bothered to post that they don't give two hoots.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I bet the Police are praying that we don't draw Brighton or Scumwall.

Personally I'd love Swansea or Scumwall at home.

Nothing untoward in viewing topics of conversation on HOL.The fact that I couldn't give a jot about the FA cup doesn't preclude me from being interested in the views of others.

Of course I want us to win games in every competition but at the present time the FA cup is of secondary importance to PL survival.

If we had attained a further 10 points and been safe then I would be far more excited about the FA Cup but in our present position I have no enthusiasm for it.
Each and every day I ponder about our chances of survival and show genuine concern, I certainly don't think about our prospects in the FA Cup.
