In the summer it would be the perfect time to make a bid. He's in great form this season, with 5 goals and 2 assists in 800 minutes, but he's not starting for them, as Wolves play a very defensive formation with 5 at the back, 2 holding midfieldes and just 3 up front. Diogo Jota has recently scored a hatt-trick and is doing well, Joao Moutinho has been moved up there too, Raul Jimenez is the center forward. Helder Costa, Adama Traore and Ivan Cavaleiro are back-ups.

If Helder Costa and Traore would cost in excess of 20 million, a deal for Cavaleiro could be done at 16 million. And let me tell you that he's the best of them. 25 years old, I know him since he forst came on for the Benfica team 5 years ago. He was really good and really fast for the Portuguese giants, went as far as the national Under 21 side and even got a couple of matche for the Portugal first team. Was bought by AS Monaco as a great hope in a time when Mbappe and Carrasco were still there. He played little at just 21 and decided to get playing time in big money spenders Wolverhampton who were pushing for promotion and had brought in a bunch of great young Portuguese players.

He had 5 goals and 5 assists in his first Championship season, 9 goals and 12 assists in his second Championship season. Even if the Championship is far below the Premier League, those are still some amazing stats for a side midfielder or winger!

Probably the best stats in the Championship for a player in his position. 19 goals and 20 assists in the last 2 and 1/2 years in 5100 minutes in the Championship for Wolves and in the Premier League and first league of France. That's 1 goal or assist every 120 minutes, but considering most were in the Championship, he'd provide at least 1 goal or assist every 200 minute at top level, proven by his 4 goals and assists in 600 minutes this season against PL opponents.

See the video of his goals and skills if you don't believe me:

Wolves paid for him 7 million and seemed willing to sell last summer for 16, but Fulham only bid 12.

Considering that he still hasn't played as a starter, his price has not gone up. This January Leeds (third place in the Championship and in the battle for promotion) wanted to get him on loan, but Wolves said no money= no player.

They will probably sell in the summer for 16 million though, even though their fans don't want him to go (see the comments):

16 million is a real bargain for a player like Cavaleiro. Show me another player of that value who can have a goal or assist every 200 minutes in the Premier League from winger position?? Ollie Watkins from the Championship? Michail Antonio? Who is 30 years old and very injured by now??

Hope you guys like this suggestion and pass it on the the board

Doesn't start for Wolves but still gets game time.
If they finish 7th they'll get Europa and will need him as a squad player.

Looks a really good call Matteo, we do need cover for our two wonderful wingers, and this guy looks good, if Wolves were prepared to sell in the summer. Also he is well acclimatised to PL conditions

On an unrelated but slightly related (wingers) point, Matttteo what do you think of Neeskens Kebano? Doesn’t get a look in at Fulham but I saw him a few times in the championship and reckon he could be a good squad player for us. Thoughts?

Vive le Roy!

Very technical player. But seemed diminutive and fragile when I saw him. And hardly saw him playing as winger, he was used most of his career as attacking midfielder behind the striker.
