I don't think "big" is merely driven by number of fans who turn up. Guangzhou Evergrande in the Chinese Super League average c. 50,000. Are they a big club? Bigger than Palace? Everton? Chelsea?

Celtic play in an absolute farce of a league illustrated by the fact that they were this season going for the "treble, treble", which is where you win all three competitions in the country for three years in a row. Ridiculous.

Can't be called a big club until you start properly competing and winning in meaningful competitions, which they haven't done in a long time.

The only way you can measure success between English and Scottish clubs is in tournaments they both participate in e.g. Europe.

13 English clubs have won 42 European trophies. Scotland have Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen. who have won a single trophy each. The last time a Scottish club won a trophy was Aberdeen in 1983.

As for revenue streams the 3 teams you've picked out, that they'd smash, are in the top 10 in the world for revenue, and it's not solely because they're in the Premier League. Also what players do Celtic have that they could possibly sell for say £40m, £90m or £60m respectively?

If Celtic are big due to their attendance, then AEK Athens are even bigger.

And even if they had twice the capacity of those three clubs you've picked, which they don't, the average gate receipts are half as much per person.
