Have you thought about attending more often and complaining a bit more about that while watching? That way we might get a sodding rest from your banal copy and paste comments each game.

Less is more sometimes. I’m no Schlupp fan but he has played ok recently. I think Roy sometimes can try to be too clever for his own good but it’s quite clear you derive bugger all enjoyment from watching any of it - so why are you actually bothering?

Thought subs were bizarre today.

SChlupp having a nightmare so takes Mccarthur off. Then when we're fully in control and dominating disrupts our rhythm and brings on Benteke for Batshuyai. And to cap it all off takes off a left back for a centre mid and they immediately score from the vacant left back position. So strange

if you are going to think like that then why bother to turn up for half the games in a season.

this united team was not good tonight

It very obviously means something and we gave it a good go. It's easy to always look for the negatives.

Frustrating game...

My thoughts:

I'm not sure why Roy picked Kelly instead of Dann when Dann is much better at organising the backline and has the experience.

Ward gets far too much ciriticism when he is nowhere near as bad as what people make out...(Ofc AWB is far better but he is also one of the best in the premier league.)

Meyer should be starting, Schlupp is good going forward but terrible defending....but i can see why he started..

Many chances squandered and again our finishing has let us down.

Free hit gone. Need to be a lot more savvy with the marking for Burnley at the back. Dyche will of watched the game.

All very predictable, they have been our bloody bogey team for years.

He will be salivating after that defensive display.

Once again we are found wanting in front of goal at Selhurst, meanwhile we are utterly ruthless away from home at Leicester.

What is that all about exactly?

Left early for the second time.
Last time was the 3-0 defeat to Huddersfield.

Wards goal was the first in open play I’ve seen this season by a palace player.

I missed Burnley, Leicester, and Fulham so haven’t seen us win at home yet.

We’ve been awful this season. Not through lack of ability. Or lack or effort. But through complete tactical stupidity.

Schlupp had one of his better games today. But should have been all over Pogba for the entire game, but wasn’t. He’s not got the concentration. Switches to left back. United score straight away. What was the point?

Pundits are continually raving about Mayer. He can’t get a start. He comes on, we score after 5 minutes. What does he have to do to get a start?

Not picking Scott Dann. They have Pogba and Lukaku. Schlupp is left to mark Lukaku at corners. The second goal comes from a corner. We never look like a threat from corners. Why's he on the bench?

At 2-1 down he takes of our striker with 1 goal from 1 start for Benteke (3 goals since August 2017). How’s he suddenly expected to turn the fortunes around in 10 minutes against Manchester United.

Hodgson is a throwback from the Field Marshall Hague school of tactics. If it doesnt work. Try they same thing over and over again.

How long until we can get rid of him. He’s only in the job due to sentiment.

A pity but worth remembering that their so called reserve side still featured 8 or 9 players who would walk into our first team.

I think we really missed AWB and Sakho in defence and never really got going until Max came on. Is he going to get a run in the side before the end of the season? I'm not holding my breath.

Tactical mistake from the start. The midfield was too lightweight. Should have played Kouayte to combat Pogba. Then brought on Schlupp and Meyer as their midfield tired.

I don't like bashing players either and he has been massively improved recently but he was rubbish tonight. He did very little right and put the team under too much pressure because he didn't commit to challenges and get stuck in.

Personally I think this is to be expected, this isn't his normal position. Although he's played left back he was always too lightweight there and in central midfield you HAVE to put your body on the line. I don't think he's used to that type of play and was fairly headless running around. It was also an obvious mismatch for him to be marking Lukaku, 3 times I counted him completely lose him from corners and they punished us.

Utd had a passenger in midfield today in Fred but they managed to make up for this by having willing runners, I think we were just second best for too much of that game in the centre of the park. We can't afford for someone to do that in our team. So I was confused why Schlupp wasn't taken off, each time we had a sub today I would have preferred Schlupp to have been the one replaced.

Oh well, not a good match, not a great result but we have a huge month coming up and we have some positivity about us currently, even the come back today was good to watch. Loved seeing Meyer, he really changed our forward movement.

Roy must take some flak for this. Dreadful mismatch between him and Lukaku and then asking to fill a new role at the death after a bizarre sub.
