Hopefully we can turn this around in the 2nd but I'm not holding my breath due to our poor record of doing such a thing against the big boys. COYP !!

As much as I'd like to see Meyer involved, I think Kouyate may be the better choice here. We need someone who is going to break up their attacking movement. I think we are struggling to pick up runners, expecially when Sanchez comes inside.

I have turned my view of Schlupp around big time lately but he is fairly lightweight in the challenge sometimes and is especially susceptible to a player just running past him. It has indeed happened here again and it has cost us a goal. He has also missed a sitter but in his defence is was a tad high for him, he should have been called off by Zaha. Not his best game. Will the owl, ever watchful, make a change? Dont hold your breath as he is generally up for Schlupp.

Ward as much at fault as Schlupp for the goal. AWB would not have turned his back on the attacking player. Remember when people were saying RB isn't that important as a position and we should sell AWB? This is a good example of how important fullbacks are. One thing though, why is Schlupp marking Lukaku on corners? Fred absolutely shocking for United. Is he actually a footballer? United have quality going forward but we need to get at them as defensively they are leaving gaps. We are really missing Sakho and AWB and Andros seems less willing to defend.

Always a free hit tonight after Cardiff took a tonking, Soton were always going to put a nail in Foolems coffin. Plenty of other games to get the required points to stay up and have a right good go in the Cup against the Hornets. Let's hope we can make a good show 2nd to cheer the Selhurst faithful. COYP !!
