Laura Lynch's practice in Croydon Road is great. Lovely staff. About Ł50 for a check up or hygienist appointment but worth it in my opinion.

It will cost Ł58 for a silver one on the NHS, the same dentist will do a white one privately for Ł112.

had my NHS dentist In Harborough for a few years now and when I needed an emergency appointment when my tooth broke off I was seen quite quickly and a temporary measure used. I thought I would need it removing as there was not much left but he said he thought he could save it and fix a crown. He put in a temporary one while they got a titanium crown made and it was fitted two weeks later. Been perfect now for two years. cost was intial appointment basic NHS fee .I think it was around Ł17/18 and the crown Ł250 the max amount at the time for NHS treatment. Very happy and I know if I had gone private it might have been quicker but would have been around Ł800. Private costs are now huge and you really a payment plan like Denplan unless you have the cash. Luckily I can get an NHS dentist as I know its not always easy to get accepted. Last I checked he was still taking new patients. Postcode lottery though! If it aint broke Dont fix it. I didnt go for about 15 years until last year. Only as my mrs nagged me. I had tons of fillings when i was younger so dont like the buggers. Thought i may need tons of fillings again. When i told the dentist you could see pound signs and a glint in his eyes. He looked gutted when he said "You could do with a clean" That was it. No fillings. Like i say if it hurts go. If not keep brushing and flossing and the occasional dig out of plaque. Job done.
