Looked up this article today after hearing some leftard professor on Good Morning Britain saying that is was perfectly acceptable for Transgender women (born as men) to compete with born women athletes.

How on Earth can that be even considered remotely fair. IMO common sense has been replaced with PC'ism

It is an absurdity for transgenders to compete with women.
If they want to do a sport, then they should have their own competitions.
If you choose to become a 'woman' then you have to accept what goes with it.

I get it that for a very small minority of people they feel like they have been born into the wrong sex so much that they want to take practical steps over it.

It isn't something I want to think about over my cornflakes but hey, it's a free country.....well it once was anyway.

However, when it comes to competitive sports, a biological woman should only have to compete against other biological women.

In a small number of cases biological women are being denied the correct achievement due to an insane political correctness that views sex as a social construct and ignores the natural physical advantages the male physical has over the female.

It's insane......and people with balls...in every sense.... need to stand up and call a spade a spade.

If there was no advantage there wouldn’t be any need for separate competition.

I can understand why a trans person interested in sport would want to continue their involvement. Male bone structure and the like of a male to female offer an unfair advantage though and in sports like MMA or boxing could even be dangerous. Once this is all thrashed out I see trans women being ruled out of competing in women's events by most sports bodies.

A more complicated case is athlete Casta Semenya whose gender characteristics mean that she has naturally high testosterone levels. She may be forced to take drugs to bring these down to a level that matches others. Almost all athletes have natural advantages over typical people though so I can see why she'd feel aggrieved that hers are under such scrutiny. Then again if it is much higher than the vast majority of other women competing I can see their point of view too. Life is complicated!

Heard this on 606 this morning.

There was a transsexual arguing that because of all the drugs they have taken they have lost muscle mass and bone strength. They didn't seem to be able to comprehend that they had muscle mass and bone strength to lose in the first place.

They dismissed an argument about height, on the basis that some women are tall too. Stupid retort in my opinion.

They also ignored any comments about bone structure.

They said it shouldn't matter as no trans has ever qualified for the Olympics. Ignoring that this will affect sportswomen at all levels.

They didn't bring up the impact that periods/child birth could have on the ability to train.

Then the transgender person they had on started going on about puberty blockers for kids who are transgender. Any parent willing to put a child on them should have their kids taken off them

She was claiming that the IAAF had written a 40 page report which said there is no issue. It's one report and only 40 pages long. Probably no more valid than the Iraq dodgy dossier

A doctor and international athlete wrote in but didn't want to be named for fear of reprisals.... just goes to show how intolerant some of these campaigners are of listening to views that don't align with their own.

If you had an athlete who'd taken testosterone for 10 years or more they wouldn't be allowed to compete because of the whole life benefits it brings.

Its f***ing nuts, but you get slated for arguing against it.

If, or more probably when transgender athletes/sportspeople wish to have there own competitions, then I have absolutely no problem with that.

But to ignore simple biological and physical facts of nature in favour of inclusiveness is ball smashingly idiotic, and of course robs female (from Birth) athletes the recognition they deserve.

If it's not stopped, I can see state sponsored transgender operations being offered if you compete as a woman, making the women's world of sport a very farcical and pointless passtime.

Last year a female MMA fighter had her skull fractured by a transgender opponent. Of course it could have happened in any fight but it didn’t. She was seriously injured fitting in with someone else’s agenda. If transgender sports people competed against each other would there be an argument about the advantages of male to female over female to male competitors?

To be fair to the transgender people I don't think that there are enough of them to really make a separate practical category of sports competition.

The numbers are too small....Sport organisers and schedulers and broadcasters would have to effectively take them on as a cost loss and that's very unlikely to happen.

I don't think there is a way around it......If you are a transgender male to female you shouldn't be able to compete in female sports. It's a 'feels' v 'reals' situation.

A small number of women have already been unfairly impacted by this.

I heard there was a Aussie rules player who was 6' 4" and 15 stones and the comment was more along the lines of physical safety!
