Na....14 man.

Too young to condemn, this isn't Thompson or Venables he hadn't murdered a toddler.

He might have turned it around....probably not, but he might have.....deserved that chance.

Be honest mate.
What if it's your kid buying from a 'poor' 14 year old in 10 years.
As for murdering a toddler we dont know the effect these drugs have on parents of toddlers who may well be having a s*** life.
He was never thinking of anything but money and power.
At 25 he may have seen the light but any year inbetween he could have bitten it.
Live by it,die by it.

I hear what you both are saying and I get it....but it's just too young for me to have zero sympathy.

If my kid is 'buying', then as the parent I'm part responsible as he carries my name.

He's a 14 year old child who was intentionally hit by a car and then stabbed to death. Clearly drug dealing is about the worst decision you can make in life, but at that age does anyone truly have the mental capacity to fully appreciate what they've become part of. It's an age of crap decisions aplenty in one direction or another. He made a terrible choice to get involved in this stuff, but the price he paid for being part of the wrong crowd and making bad choices was clearly way, way beyond anything that was deserved.

That's truly terrible, I'm sorry. In his way that child is a victim of that whole dynamic too. Nobody forces anyone to take drugs and nobody forced this kid to sell them.

Where to place those in smart suits brainstorming the latest strategy to get millions hooked on cigarettes for the rest of their natural though? How do we view them in comparison to this clueless kid?

It's the families that drugs ruin and that kid had probably already ruined countless lives and families, if one family is saved im glad he is dead.

Then again the knife may have been in his hand against another kid.

I'm not sure that we need to conjure up an timeline where this kid is out stabbing people, to justify why this is a fate he somehow deserved. Of course if we view the kid as bad to the core we can easily not give a sh!t, but clearly that isn't likely the full picture and there are surely different considerations to factor in when someone makes bad decisions at 14 than say at 20 odd.

Nobody is forced to take drugs and nobody is forced to sell them. Many people in society don't take drugs, those that choose to prop up a demand that wouldn't be there without them. There isn't one side that's pure evil, and one that's victim through and through. They are all people making hopelessly bad decisions that they perceive holds some kind of benefit for them, when in reality it doesn't.

To expect someone at 14 to fully grasp what he's becoming part of when he's basically a trumped up delivery boy isn't realistic. It's probably a position he was effectively groomed for and it would be quite easy for a kid with bad guidance, and getting in with the wrong crowd to reason away what he's doing at that age. It's definitely a very bad path for all concerned, but it doesn't make him evil incarnate by any means or deserving of getting stabbed to death.

You're completely entitled to your view.
I disagree with it completely though.
