Have a day off son. It was meant to be a light hearted jocular response. That said, the fact that you were sufficiently offended kinda proves my point.

They aren’t ‘leaving’. Their share is up for sale, and this is the important bit, selling to someone else, and being even tighter with money will only make relegation more likely and devalue their shares. You’ve no idea whether their share up for sale is a good or bad thing. Do you also think that if the Americans didn’t want anything spent now that their investment wouldn’t deteriorate and reduce their share value?

you are unbelievably pedantic at times Rudi.

If the Yanks sell their shares they have LEFT (i.e. no longer hold a holding in the club) so at the moment they are trying to leave - in the same way if you put your house up for sale.

The fact they have put their shares up for sale before the big main stand investment is made is clearly an indication that they do not want to throw more money at CPFC as they probably now realise that making money out of football is a very difficult thing to do.

IN the short term I do think this is a bad thing IMHO as their investment was rumoured to be earmarked for the main stand investment. If they are not willing to put this money in then CPFC will need to find it from elsewhere.

In answer to you question, yes I think their investment may deteriorate however I suspect they have estimated that this will be less than the extra money they would need to put in.
Perhaps they are just cutting their losses.

Are you aware of any potential buyers out there?

Leaving is a very vague description of their intentions. It includes every kind of leaving. Shares being up for sale, which is what it is, is white specific. If I were to draw a venn diagram there’d be a massive ‘leaving circle’ with a small ‘shares up for sale’ circle, with probably half of it inside the massive ‘leaving’ circle.

It sounds as if as it stands their intention isn’t to finance the new stand anyway, even if they stayed. Therefore you still can’t say whether them ‘leaving’ is a bad thing or not. Simply, nobody knows, but they can’t just leave, and therefore, question still in mind, the CLUB ltd funds either keep supplying the manager to keep us in the league and their shares not deteriorating, or they demand they keep the their share of the sale money of Zaha and AWB and a share value afterwards of probably fvck all. I doubt the share of those players is worth more than selling their club shares with planning permission or whatever progress there’s been so far as a premier league club. I doubt they’d be able to make those demands anyway. Parish has a veto on things like this. They may refuse to supply cash flow or loans, but they don’t call all the shots.

It is very difficult to know for certain what is happening. as i understand it the 3 major players own 18% each of the club the rest is owned by a number of other investors in a limited partnership that include CPFC2010 shareholders, Stephen Browett, Jeremy Hosking and Martin Long. Often in these situations if a shareholder wants to sell then existing shareholders have a right to preferentially buy at market rate.

Thus SP is unlikely to have any veto as he is a minority shareholder. It is possible that the Americans are testing the water and seeing if an interested buyer is around both internally and externally.

It is also possible that they are unhappy with the working relationships that may exist and want out ( at minimum loss)

Selling our best players will not increase the share value and may even decrease it. All it will do is make the limited company cash rich. The shareholders can not access this money directly.

One of the things we don't know are SP intentions towards club for instance is he insisting he stays on in current position? If he is this may make buyers more difficult to find

I don't believe that Steve Parish is willing to sell his shares and therefore anyone buying Blitzer and Harris's shares will need to work with him.

Browett and co will continue to support Parish as well.

Don't tell Wolves.

I wont, They are no more successful than us and never will be regardless of how much money they have.
You defeat your own argument using Wolves. Sir Jack Hayward owned Wolves for years. He was a Billionaire back when only Millionaires were getting involved in football. From his base in the Bahamas he threw hundreds of millions at Wolves infrastucture, stadium, training ground, managers and team. Remember where that got them? No? Well I'll remind you. About three of four seasons in the top flight then relegation back to where they came from.

And yes, A billionaire with zero afilliation or feeling for a club WILL be looking at what makes it attractive. Like being in a desireable location, like it being a fashionable club, like it having a very long history of being in the top division, like having a trophy cabinet that contains more than a full members cup (ZDS if you prefer), like having the posibility of redeveloping the stadium and not just one stand or having the potential to build a new one elsewhere.
So in the end some (yes just some) of the reasons we would not be attractive to a Billionaire have indeed had to be spelt out to you.
Jeez

You aren't a billionaire so you don't know what a billionaire will do. You also have no idea what Wolves will do.

Can you spell pessimist? How about condescending?
