The only criticism of this team is they can be a bit nice, a lot of other teams leave a foot in, time waste and look aggressive and manage to get away with it so why don’t we? Luka is a decent captain but we could do better.

This is a poorly executed screengrab of Luka geeing up the fans after his penalty. Since you seem to insist he plays cheerleader as well as leading by example and showing passion (which he clearly does). Not only am I seething at the nonsense in this thread you’ve now made we have to go back through “highlights” to illustrate a point.

Looks like he’s celebrating a well taken penalty to me

I don't want to give an opinion on Luka - who is an exceptional player - as a Captain. It's hard to tell

What I would say is we never properly replaced Jedi. We definitely need an enforcer, that has been clear for a couple of years. Sometimes it looks like that could be Sakho. But from where do we get the next Shaun Derry?

At three point park
As away teams now know we are awsomely w***.
Not only is RH going for the worst home record award hes also going for the team fair play award.
" lads dont be too tough as you might get a yellow and not be my favourite to guarentee a start even if you are playing like dogsh ite"
Ffs take this issue of toughness to the top as thats where it sits.
What would bfs have said after that to ffs brighton at home.
He would have told them to go home and not come back with a display like that.
I reckon roy went for a point. A bloody point.
Why leave max and K on the bench and use DM.
More points than any other season at this point i know.
But the points in those seasons were infront of us, the fans at selhurst.
Pissed right off as a minimum.

I agree on Kouyate but not Meyer. An impact sub. Would have been owned by the Brighton midfield.

The original post is harsh on Luka. Currently there is no one else suited for captaincy.
Sometimes hollering and screaming has the opposite effect. Tactics like rotational fouling must surely come from the management, if RH was to decide that this was a valid ploy then the players would adopt it. I'd like to see it, due retribution on one of the opposition who has brutally hacked one of our players.
I would like Luka to be talking to the ref more - doesn't need to be overly aggressive, but confident and firm.

We lost the game, because we didn’t want it as much as them. Jimmy Mac was awful as he has been most of the season. They had 2 chances which they took brilliantly, no complaints from me, Luka has been our most consistent performer in my eyes and I can’t see another suitable person to take the arm band...

Agree. He’s a defensive midfielder, and not a bad one.
What are the other midfielders doing, and as captain why isn’t he telling them what to do ?

What like?

Jeff be creative.
Cabaye - don’t leave.

He can’t make players be creative!

Tactically they nullified us, conditions helped them for the 1st goal coupled with poor defending, 2nd was a great hit coupled again with suspect defending. Both managers knew exactly how the other team was going to play. Roy failed to grasp the initiative by changing up our formation. First goal was crucial, if we had scored first early on we might well of won. Even when we were level, giving Roy another chance to throw something different at them he didn't do this. Not sure that I have seen the Weed play any different this season so there is really no excuses for not being ready with a good game plan to take them on in this set up. Now the Udders will do exactly the same so we really need to be throwing something different at them.
