You see it all on the telly every week, or maybe some of it is invisible.

Tactics not really contained in the soccer textbooks that are alive and well in the real world.

Blatantly obvious or sly & sneaky.

- shoving a running player into the advertising hoardings.

-forcing a grounded opponent to stand up, lifting him where possible.

- when you have the ball, running into a defender and tripping over his leg.

- that tackle by Sergio Ramos on Mohammad Salah and the L'pool goalkeeper.

- shoving your face into that of an opponent, 2 second argument, then tumbling to the ground as if you got nutted. He gets a red. Steptoe Jamie Vardy likes this tactic.

- Mourinho team's spectacular time-wasting tactics.

- putting slippery soft soil around left of the penalty spot, and then using Ciotógs from your own club to take all penalty kicks.

- crucify a Messi type with a talentless lump.
regardless of the yellow/red card inherent.

- antagonise a powderkeg player until he explodes and he gets a Red card. Zidane in the world cup.

what gamesmanship is ok if it helps you win ?

what gamesmanship is nasty and needs curtailing ?

who are the best and worst players/clubs/managers ?

Those are all good examples of snide tactics. I’d add Watford’s fouling rotation. My bete noir is players nicking yards at a throw in. Why not give the linesman some of that spray to show where the ball went out?
The only entertainment in this is in watching the pundits contort themselves trying to excuse the big club players as being professional or somehow savvy when they cheat.

I hate the professional foul. The "good foul", "taking one for the team", as you hear spouted by all the commentators. It's cheating and imo should be a straight red. So there.

I think we saw a very snide side playing against us on Saturday. Taking it in turns to foul Luka, time wasting, off the ball incidents, the lot. Fair play to them as it worked.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

capoue raking his studs down the back of Wilfried's heel. could have inflicted a career-ending injury on one of our best players.

should have been a red card. But the bvgger got away with it.

Dele alli sliding his knee into the spine of a grounded Yohan Cabaye. Scumbag.

Sean Derry/Michael Hughes crucifying opposition players in midfield. Heroes.

and a note to Vinny Jones : in between all the hacking, kicking, spitting and biting.....it would be helpful if you could also play football even remotely effectively.
