Doesn't look like a 'Rug' to me.
Looks like he has had his hi-lights removed !

I started to dye my hair when i was 30. My hair had started to turn grey at my early 20s and was getting positive feedback as it was giving a mature look. But it was also not to have a feedback like i look like movie starts like George Clooney or Omar Sheriff (i am combination of both physically) who were far older than me. I guess i was nearly like Ravanelli around 30 year old and i was about to start a new job.

My wife said, if you are not happy with it, let me dye. It was risky decision. It was good timing that you will not come to office as a brown haired guy when you were nearly white at last Friday. However, what if i look very weird? There is a chance that hiring manager thought `did i interview this guy?` however it worked out.

That was my best decision and gave a lot of confidence and i usually grin within myself when people say i look younger It` is a cheat but who cares?

Yeah it’s possibly his true hair colour, even if it’s dyed. Or he was blonde and he’s dyed it over the grey, which if so he’d probably have been better to highlight over the grey, but maybe he’s short of that kind of regular cash outlay.

Possibly a hair transplant thing. Fair enough tbh. It doesn’t look stupid so who cares?

Looks very neat.
Far better than having tussock hair askew or a hair-do blown dry by a windmill.

I started to go grey in my early forties so tried out Just For Men to remind myself what I used to look like.

I paid my daily visit to the local off licence and the attractive girl behind the counter took one look at me and burst out laughing.

She'd obviously read your posts on here, too.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I am led to believe that certain older ladies actually change the colour of their hair at home.

In terms of gentleman, if one is of advanced years with a well-weathered face, a jet black mane is not the best look and having witnessed this look I have concluded that the person in question would have been better advised to display their grey locks.Grey and white can look quite distinguished on both males and females.

Mmmmmmmm silver foxes

If you don't want a stark contrast of going dark haired from grey/white, then go to a decent colourist and have low-lights put in......

I recall the days when young chaps used to have highlights and streaks in their hair or even a total colour change from dark to blonde. No body batted an eyelid because they were in the flush of youth.A gentleman somewhat ripe in age who undergoes a colour change is sometimes ridiculed and there appears to be a stigma about turning grey/white into brown or black when a chap reaches a certain age.Same for wearing a 'Rug'.

Wanting to lose grey hair is not about vanity for me so much as not feeling old.
If I see loads of grey in the mirror, I just feel older. If I look a little younger, I feel physically and mentally better.

Losing my hair might be harder to address.

Ageing is a strange thing when it comes to hair. As the hair on my head drops out, my ear and nasal hair decides to drastically over compensate. Eyebrows could be used for a comb-over if I so desired. Personally, I believe comb-overs and wigs look worse than looking increasingly like Friar Tuck.

I think one’s changing hair colour and facial lines are a badge of honour but in low light I can pass for someone three or four months younger than I am.
It must be very hard on men who lose their hair at a young age but otherwise it’s an almost unavoidable result of getting older.

Pretty sure you just described vanity lol

Edit: I'm 33 and I'm nearly completely grey back and sides. I've not considered dying it, although I do occasionally dye the beard darker to get rid of a red tinge: that, is purely vanity.
