If Sam Woods or Innis are ready for the step up then maybe 6m is good business? Dann cost us goals with his chronic lack of pace at the end of the season and I think if we could get some money to put elsewhere it might not be a bad thing. He has been a great servant for us, but his wage is too high for fourth choice centre-back.

Dann has been a fantastic servant to the club but regrettably he is in the twilight of his playing career and football is a money orientated business therefore £6m would make for useful part-payment for a replacement.

Given the number of injuries Sakho and Tomkins pick up and Kelly’s lack of aerial strength it would be a poor decision to let him leave IMO unless we have a young replacement. Ward’s playing centre back against Bournemouth suggests otherwise.

Never relied on pace and made a big contribution after Sakho’s injury.

Probably not worth starting a new thread but, in theory, Jach is still a Palace player is he not? Does anyone know whether he's played much during his loan spell?

I saw him play once for the u23s and thought he looked no better than OK at that level. Theoretically he could be 4th choice CB but I doubt he's good enough.

I think Ward playing centre back was influenced more by Roy’s distrust of youngsters than anything else. He loves to stick with established pros so for Woods or Inniss to break into that 4th spot will probably need to be proven over pre-season. If they are good enough then Dann can go, if they are not then he would have to be replaced, however £6m is a good figure for a player in the twilight of his career.

Inniss is 24 now. I think we should all accept he’s not going to make it with us. But by all accounts did well lower down the pyramid, so hopefully he can forge a successful career still.

Vive le Roy!

Someone is placing Scott Dann in the window. Now that we have Cahill, we can consider letting him go.

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

If we could cover Cahill’s 2 years worth of wages by the sale of Dann then that would be good business all round.
