For the final time: If he's unwilling to manage his own interests, Golden boy.

In the face of my previous posts and the money (lack of) how can you think he hasn't been mismanaged?

Just goes to show you can be as fat as Neil Shipperly and be heavyweight champion of the world.

Saw an interview where AJ said “if the journey ends now, I have a lot to look forward to” or something to that effect.

If he retired soon I wouldn’t actually be surprised as I don’t think he gives a f*** anymore.

Supposedly, Ruiz isn't to be taken lightly...

I was hoping the result would take the smug look off of Hearns face. I have had the displeasure of spending time with him and his father, not nice people but top business men. Great result for the pie eaters.

There are rumours surfacing that something was miss in the training camp, and if you watch AJ's dad closely in the ring afterwards he is absolutely blasting Hearn, to the point where AJ had to restrain him.

The whole thing was weird, add to that AJ saying to his corner whilst on the deck "while do I feel this way" then something was clearly amiss.

I did hear his training camp was on Miami beach ? what the fcuk is that about who trains on Miami beach for a world title fight?

I'm not sure we will ever find out what went on, however, no way was that the AJ that beat Klitschko, and had a tough fight with Dylan White.

Na, Hearn has been great for British boxing.

He's a promoter, he doesn't decide Joshua's training or coaching.

Joshua is one of the richest men in sport.....if that's being mismanaged then a hell of a lot of boxers would love that level of mismanagement.

And Ruiz is not a 'journeyman' even by the harshest stretch of the word.

I think Lennox Lewis trained in a beach resort at least once.

Rocky Balboa sprinted on an L.A beach with his ex pro opponent and former heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed, before his rematch with Clubber Lang. A bit of homo erotic hugging in vests and small shorts too.

This gives some insight into his training camp. The whole thing was overhauled. I'm all for adding a psychologist as good ones will have you entering the ring feeling invincible - but you need to have the physical conditioning to back it up. Expect it was more to do with the Navy Seals and alternative conditioning methods - perhaps they're just not suited to boxing and he should have been running through the snow with a tyre tied around his waste

No, just that seasons Hugo Boss leather jacket and heavy boots on. A bit of lumberjacking and sawing fire wood.

Spencer Oliver raised a good point on SSN earlier. He was speculating that maybe AJ got a bit concussed with that 1st left hook to his temple which would explain the weird questions he kept asking in the corner between the rounds afterwards.

Oh he was scrambled alright. He never recovered from the third round.
Maybe fighting Wilder is not such a good idea. Joshua does not like getting hit and he seems to worry about it too much. His boxing goes out of the window.

Taking a shot on the chin is one thing but a punch behind the ear can do more damage, especially to your balance and your legs.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.
