Not tonight, but April 29 now looks to be set for the Fury v Usyk fight.
The contract hold-ups have now been settled, though Usyk's camp claiming it was Fury's team wanting more money.
i have to say I thought Fury was more interested in Legacy at this stage, as opposed to money.
I just reckon Usyk might have some surprises for Fury and I'd say from the build-up , Usyk looks in a stronger mental position.

Agree, Usyk could come up with surprise. Never underestimate guy with such record.

Tyson Fury's team apparently trying to get Usyk's team to bend over at the final contract details.
For a fight that's meant to be about Legacy, there's too many greedy people trying to feed from the table.

Maybe they're getting worried about the money going to YouTubers.

So, Fury v Usyk definitely off.

AJ instead?

AJ passed his peak very early. You can suggest he's been badly managed, but his recent form has been shockingly bad. He's not the big draw he used to be. Fury wouldn't even want to give AJ a payday

I can't see AJ losing his comeback fight and so it might fall well for him. Despite being damaged goods there's still serious interest in Fury vs AJ. From Fury's perspective he may well view it as an easy fight, from AJ's one last huge payday and a punchers chance.

That said I can't imagine Fury struggling againsy Usyk either, and it is or was a good opportunity to unify the division. If you had to twist my arm, and I know this sounds ridiculous, but I'd say that Fury vs Wilder 4 would be a fight I'd get excuted about. Or Wilder vs any top fighter really. To my mind Fury is the only person out there about to beat him... as he demonstarted x 3.

It's a shame the top heavyweights don't want to fight each other. All you have are the notquitegoodenoughtobe-champions wanting a shot and a payday. Usyk is hanging on to what he really shouldn't have. Everyone wants Fury to fight Usyk as that has to be the biggest fight (money-wise) ever. What's Usyk's plan ? fight some bums, then retire ?
People want to see fights for belts, not relinquishing them because they refuse fights.

Just watched the “highlights”. AJ has lost a lot of hand speed and power as far as I can see. He should have dispatched Franklin quite comfortably. He would have, a few years ago.

Where to now? Can’t see him ever getting a match against any of the top guys after that?

Franklin was resilient. Everyone thinks they have a chance with AJ, if they just tough-it-out.
Aj had a good fight, but was devoid of ideas to finish his opponent, before it went to points. Maybe playing it a bit safe in later rounds, as he knew he was ahead on the judges scorecards.
AJ really needed a stoppage victory to gain some credibility for bigger opponents.
This victory still leaves him as an outsider, compared to Wilder, Usyk, Fury and even Whyte. Whyte even said Joshua should stop after that performance, because it doesn't look like his heart is in it any more.
Maybe Whyte could have said that about AJ 5 fights ago.

I'm starting to worry about Joshua's mental health. He is becoming a little weird.

It is all being set up for a big money fight with someone, probably Fury, but on that showing, he wouldn't stand a chance.

We all just want to see Fury v Usyk. All else is blah blah.
