Sounds like you're in the same camp as Maine Eagle.

You don't mind the possibility of getting relegated as long as we are playing '' more adventurous '' football.

It is possible to do one without the other. Or is it necessary for a team like us to have to play negative football every game just to survive.

Can't keep playing negatively and expect positive results.

I can suffer today as City are a top team and every time we tried to attack they punished us. However I am more disappointed with our performances against the lesser team at home. This is the area that Roy needs to work on for next season.

Two of City’s goals came from us committing players forward. Perhaps it would be better if we tried to attack all game against their machine and lost 8-0 so that you and and a few others can tell us what a sh1t manager Roy is.

And the first and second goals were down to abject defending by Van Aanholt who had a game to forget.Much better coming forward than defending.

Apropos the game, it panned out as I expected with us dropping behind the ball trying to deny Man C space between the lines and with Man C having the lion's share of possession.Never really laid a glove on them.

Trouble is our performances seem so stale.

I’m not convinced by Roy’s powers of motivation.

When we got our goal, he should have been urging the players on to get the second and third goals.

It’s those sort of situations that used to bring out the best in Pulis, Warnock, Basset and Dowie.

Roy and his team are far too docile on the touchline.

You never win anything by being a polite sweetie.

Difficult to be too critical today.
City were superior throughout, and should be when you look at their squad.
However, I thought we looked poor in midfield in the first half with lack of ball retention and I’d like us to have made attacking changes immediately the second goal went in.
Fortunately I had the satisfaction of seeing us win up there.

As my wife said, if you're not going to try and win at home, what's the point in even playing?

I’m not sure what would happen if our team didn’t come out to play. In amateur football I think the opposition get a 3-0 Win so we beat that penalty.

I get the impression a perfect season for Roy would be 38 0-0 draws and we scrape survival. His comments that we gave City a good game are laughable we made it so easy for them they barely had to get out of bed

Roy should have tried playing Batshsuayi alongside him upfront.

Steady on, far too positive.

This. It sums it up but a lot on here seem to be happy with our pis poor performances. Personally I don’t get it. As a Palace fan I expect more from our players. Maybe they are just following orders, I hope not but it sounds feasible.

If we didn't make so many mistakes then perhaps we could play more positively, but sadly Mr Hodgson is so crap with passing the ball to another player who is just three feet away that it becomes totally impossible to keep any momentum going while he is on the pitch.
