I think public opinion does partly factor in though. There appears to be a push back both in and outside of sport to keep womens sport, women only, for want of a better word. In some sports trans women would have an unfair advantage, and in others their participation may be dangerous.

I do agree with you in so much that there might be a period of time where they are feeling their way so to speak. I believe that a Male to female fought in MMA a while ago, but if anything that type of event will solidify views against.

I read somewhere that the body development post puberty is permanent and that's where the advantage lies - testosterone was not the answer. A bit like Sharron Davies and Kathy Cook competing against East Germans
