Yet it’s the people who blend into our way of life more that succeed in all ways the most.

And we’re also proud of the segregation. We’ve done that well. Erm, it’s done well here, now Tony Blair pipes up with how we’ve gone wrong.

Thanks, Pussay, and the same to you.

And well done for the correct apostrophe usage. Today I've already seen examples of:

St Georges Day
and
St Georges' Day

(leaving aside whether or not St should be followed by a full-stop!)

Not many people know that St. George was also the patron saint of pedantry

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

To celebrate I might buy one of the limited edition 4,999 four sided Gold coins being advertised on tv with the regal music in the background. How are they paying for the tv advertising from £500,000 of revenue (not even profit) and who buys these?

He just went up in my estimation!

Picking up on the Brexit/separatist theme...he's also the patron saint of Catalonia (which wants 'out' of Spain); hence the flag of St. George is incorporated in the badge of Barcelona F.C.

Has this thread descended into a 'racist/political/Brexit slanging name calling match yet?

Just asking . . .
