I get that if you are a Man City player you would vote for your team mates but why do the players at other clubs? or is it just laziness, another chore they have to do oh well I will just vote for City and Liverpool players.

Granted that most of the team picks its self but they're must be players at smaller clubs who have had a big impact e.g. Zaha or AWB.

As the OP says why pick Pogba the guy went missing under Mourinho big time and then played a couple of good games for OGS and now has gone missing at a critical time for United again.

Very odd

To help soften the blow, of the four BBC pundits both Shearer & Hasselbaink selected AWB at RB, but ultimately Alexander Arnold won the accolade. Nice for him to get a deserved mention at least.

Bizarre that he wasn't shortlisted for the young PFA player of the year award.

If he played for a top 6 side he would have been for sure.

For me:
Foster
AWB
Robertson
Van Djk
LaPorte
Fernandinho
Brooks
Madison
Hazard
Son
Sterling

AWB young player of the year, Van Djk player of the year. I realise that most of these players won't even be on the radar.

Is something stirring? We have Wilfred saying hat he wants European games, AWB has come through, we have an outstanding crop of Academy players, and have done our bit to make this season "must watch". Could it be that with neither of our own products being sold and the transfusion of Academy players, Palace are allowed (Sky would need to amend their script) we can win a cup or obtain a top four finish next season to secure European matches in 2020/2021? COYP

According to Talksport all PFA players at all levels vote for the PL team. So outside of the PL how many of those who voted actually played against any of the players they picked.

I would have though it more logical to restrict the voting to the division you play in.

Just heard Dave Kitson on this topic he says the players don't take it seriously. One time at his club they all voted for a player who had been injured all season.

One of his teammates wanted to vote for a foreign player couldn't spell his name so voted for one he could spell.

At one time it did matter but that was when the PFA dinner was a good night out on the p*ss. Today journalists are present and the ever ready camera phone so it's no longer an attraction.
