Women have already infiltrated golf and dog breeding. Must football be the next to fall?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Women's darts is pretty woeful too, it really went downhill after the L!VE TV days

You say that, but Trina Gulliver used to frequent my local on occasion and she was f***ing mustard.

We are even getting women pundits now ,why? To give the woman's point of view ? No they actually contribute nothing but the obvious . I turn off MOTD when that squeaky voice comes on .
It will be left in the realms of the BBC in years to come as anyone trying to make a £ will realise nobody is actually watching it , nobody cares .

Turn off MOTD when a bird comes on, but happily sit through Lineker and Shearer?

I can put up with those two knobs because they did actually play the game and I can agree to dissagree .

What exactly is the point of having some woman on a football panel or as a commentator ?

And we still need a striker

Love women and been partners with several of them (not all at same time). Have never watched women's football and have zero interest. It is being thrust on us for political equality reasons.

Have yet to meet a serious football supporter who gives a flying whatsit about women's game.

It's similar to tennis where women want equality but they are slow, weak and in general totally inferior to men. No thanks.

At least women’s tennis (on grass at least) is watchable, and not just for bodies, legs, short skirts, @rses and knickers, as long as there isn’t a mismatch of huge woman at one end vs feminine one at the other. But women’s football is no better than watching division 6 of a Sunday league game in some park or teenagers playing in the tandridge c league. They’d get beaten by probably all 14 or 15 year old professional club teams. Why watch that?

The BBC have really taken the equality of women to farcical levels .Now don't get me wrong there is a place for womans football its just the equality crap being forced upon us …..(I know )

Reporting on Manchester City's victory parade on the news just now they told us

Manchester City the first team in THE MENS GAME to win the treble .

The Arsenal Womens team of 2009 playing in front of 280-1000 supporters is of course comparable . Ive obviously got a problem because I just looked that up . But seriously ........

Yes, the BBC has been saying this since before the final on Saturday. It's a 'house style' that will have been decreed on high and then enforced throughout. Ridiculous.

Incidentally, the women's league cup has only been running for 8 years and only two teams have ever won it. With such dominant teams amidst a sea of dross (and a very small sea - there simply aren't many teams), the achievement of the treble is relatively unremarkable.

Sad thing is Jamesey , they have equality in the prize money at Wimbledon and I think other tournaments.
How does that work when they do half as much work to win?. They should be asked to play 5 sets to make it fair.

Now that would be rubbish. It’s usually obvious who’s going to win early on. Make the semis and finals best of 5 but I don’t see the point in having 6-2, 6-1, 6-0, or the winner of said match losing one set 2-6 or 3-6.
