No point paying over the odds. There is a lot of hype in the price being paid. He is a younger version of Andros. He has a good eye for goal and good energy but is no Adama Traore. I think we need a speedster up front given our style of play. Bowen is many things but he isn't that.

A shame but if West Ham are paying him £60k a week, good luck to him even if he turns out to be the next Pat Bamford.

So WetSpam have done it again. This is very disappointing as he looks like a real prospect but we shouldn't get into bidding wars - in the long-term it costs you more. as clubs and agents know they can have you over. I will laugh HARD if they get relegated, mind

BBC reporting that Bournemouth are making a late bid for him. United want Josh King but Bournemouth will only let him go if they get Bowen I would be laughing all weekend if he ditches West Ham at the last min.

West Ham playing with fire here. Their defence is in dire straits and they have a lot of fancy attacking players yet they go and sign another. This just looks to me like they are terrified of maybe missing out on a possible asset and money maker and not thinking about their present situtaion.

He was on 25k, which was very low for a player like him, so we must have offered him at least 50k. They come in and offer 10k more a week? Times 53 weeks in a year, that's 0.53 million. In 4 years of contract it's 2 million. Miss out on a player for 2 million?? Get in there and negociate!! Offer the same as West Ham, even offer 70k a week. You can't just miss out on a player for 2-4 million! That's just being cheap.
