To be honest I think it's best if well intended ITKs keep a discreet silence? It's good for them personally to know what their sources tell them, but to post on either of the Palace fan sites gets us all overexcited, and exposes them to the frustrations of fans who are desperate for signings, and understandably disappointed if it doesn't happen?

With the utmost respect, I have never categorically asserted on HOL that I am in a privileged position, fully 'Au Fait' with all the minutiae of our proposed transfer activity.

In actual fact I do believe that I have articulated that I am not in receipt of any running commentary about latest developments.

I re-iterate yet again, for the umpteenth time,that being ITK does NOT place one on any pedestal on HOL and I am certainly NOT some blowhard who seeks to place myself on the pantheon of greats.I am no vainglorious chappie.

Finally, I don't intend to keep defending myself from such 'Charges' as they deflect the debate away from the subject matter and I would suggest this is not in the interest of HOL.

Ah Willo... Forgive me I've not been on here much lately but last I knew you had left so can I say good to see you back!

So, Back to Clyne. One rumour that's come to me (at least fourth hand, so definitely NOT ITK) suggests that at present the club and Clyne haven't (or can't) agree terms. As I see it, there is still one place left in our 25 man squad. With the domestic window closing on Friday and the 25 man squad having to be declared latest next Tuesday, it will be interesting to see what (if anything) happens over the weekend if we don't sign someone from the EFL this week.
