That’s probably right. I’m only passing on the information for anyone going to America. I’ve been going there for 35 years and it’s never happened to me before so maybe they’re getting stricter.

Having run places that serve alcohol, it is often easier to have staff id everyone. It is better for the staff, as if they make a mistake in not carding someone they can be held liable for selling alcohol to a minor. It is also better for the business as it reduces their liability. I am in my fifties and still periodically get carded. It is usually at a liquor store near one colleges. Hence, I suspect, their caution. If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

I am in my fifties and still periodically get carded. It is usually at a liquor store near one colleges. Hence, I suspect, their caution.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.
