Sorry, Bert Howe was, of course, left back.

Jacko

Although in the 3 games I saw in my first season, he only played in 1 of those.

Frank Parsons played in the other 2

We had season tickets for the 04/05 Premier League season, when I was 10 and enjoyed playing in goal myself. Loved Kiraly, his pyjamas and his hands-behind-the-back penalty saving technique.

John Jackson! What a keeper he was for Palace. I believe he had a fall out with Big Mal and was replaced by Paul Hammond.

I also remember David Fry making one or two appearances for Palace. If my memory serves me right I believe he resembled a TV character at the time Called Eddie Shoestring!

Paul Hammond who left for Tampa Bay Rowdies and was replaced by Tony Burns. I think Peter Caswell was the reserve GK.

Vic Rouse could take a goal kick which reached the half way line. Sounds ludicrous now but back then it was immense. Most goalies used to pass the ball to a full back and get the return which, in those days, could be picked up. Different skills then.

Indeed he was likened to Eddie Shoestring.
