I think Dominic Raab's suggestion that he might shut down Parliament to engineer Brexit is a misstep and not worthy of him.

All through this process some Remainers have tried to use all sorts of dodges to block Brexit and deny the will of the people.

Running the clock down on parliament is stooping to their level.

I want Brexit and I want parliament to acknowledge the referendum result by voting for it rather than some three card trick. If that were to happen we would not hear the end of it from the Remainers and there would be all sorts of legal challenges.

Parliament must be allowed a vote and any Tory leader should make it clear if their MPs vote against it they will be deselected at the next GE which would be my next step immediately after losing the vote in Parliament. That is the leader we need.

I would offer a carrot to the Tory Remainers. Vote to leave now and once this has happened you are free to campaign to re-join the EU. If they can't do that then they should look for another party.

I still think Johnson will win. Last night's result shows what happens when the Tory vote is split (Tory / Brexit party) letting Labour back in. Self interest will prevail and the MPs will hold their noses and vote Johnson. He's not my choice but better him than Corbyn.

Raab has certainly left himself open to prorogation.
Raab wants to frame himself as the candidate of opportunity for all but his opponents want to frame him as a narrow right-winger.His policy of improving May’s deal didn’t go down well with some at the ERG hustings. The numbers of MPs supporting him has been somewhat static at 24 behind both Hunt and Gove and recent figures show Johnson out in front with 48 votes.

I think Boris is on the verge of being unbeatable. I appreciate that votes can shift this way and that after others drop out, but if his lead grows much more it's very hard to see how he can get pushed out of the top two.

Today's story on the BBC website seems to be various candidates declaring what kind of drugs they took in their younger days.

Boris hasn't yet joined in and the outcome could depend on whether he tripped on LSD or just smoked the occasional joint

They're all off their tits on coke or booze or both, absolute state of them all. Old Sozzlebury is the most obvious closely followed by Mukka. I can just see that champagne Charlie doing lines off a rent boy's arse with his city chums. As for Corbyn? Clearly addled by years of industrial strength skunk.

BoJo is clearly on the gear and as for Mogg? If he's going about the place looking like a postman pat/John Christie hybrid sober then he's got serious issues.

I believe that it’s totally irrelevant what people did or didn’t do 20 years ago. It’s along time and people can literally be different people 20 years on.
That said it’s class A drugs and a criminal offence, admitting such would rule you out of all sorts of positions and careers. I’m a teacher and offences involving drugs would show up on my dbs regardless of how long ago they were and rule me out of teaching. I love the double standards of politicians.

Disagree strongly.

I'm no psychologist but I'd hazard a guess that Peter Sutcliffe is still the same unhinged lunatic that he was 20 years ago.

Got to love the double standards of the British press. If it was Corbyn saying he took coke (or even weed) he'd be FINISHED.

Also, maybe this is just a diversionary tactic from Goves more recent history f***ing over teachers which is far more concerning. c***.

I am full aware that he was not popular with the teaching profession as my wife was a teacher for 35 years and my daughter is still in this line of work. That said, he did force through reforms and nearly 2 million more children are now in good and outstanding schools.

Well I am sure that supporters of the SNP, Welsh Nationalist, Sinn Fein, the Unionists, Green party etc. will all be delighted to know that.

Each of those has a manifesto. They also have a broad range of policies

Would you like some links?

To be honest if Boris came out and said that he didn't do coke twenty years ago I'd be more surprised.

I bet he's had more hard drugs than Keith Richards.....Maybe even Mary Berry.
