The level of ignorance over the way British Parliamentary democracy works is truly astounding in 2019. The "winners"don't ride roughshod over anything or anybody. Once elected their job is to try to use their collective consciences to deliver what the people need, and not what some of them want. Our job starts and ends when we choose them.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Parliament itself has not yet woken up to the fact that this means they don't get to choose who is the PM. I hope there is a very swift vote of no confidence in the government which succeeds, and that a coalition emerges of those who oppose the current Tory government direction together with sufficient Tory "rebels" to make it stick, and they can then form a new government of national unity ready to renegotiate a deal with the EU. If that doesn't work then a GE would follow, which would be a disaster with Corbyn not yet replaced.

Maybe we should let a panel of judges decide since you have such high regard for them.
