I don't have much time for horror movies these days and I find the torture p*** variety offensive.
Some of the older ones still retain a bit of amusement value but once you call something a 'horror film', it is immediately downgraded.

Of more recent films, I'd say The Ring was noteworthy but cheap jumps don't make a good film.
I tent to avoid new horror films but the lawnmower scene in 'Sinister' did make me laugh out loud.

Mamma Mia. Undoubtedly.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

‘Hereditary’ genuinely was a scary film.

I watched a couple of the Saw movies, but I'm with you on this. The push to gross people out more and more often comes at the expense of any semblance of plot.

I quite enjoyed the IT remake too. The second part is out later this year.

Diane Abbott on Police Numbers, scary or what that she could be the Home Secretary.

The Donald presses the intercom for his secretary and launches an all out nuclear strike.

Boris Johnson's Campaign for Tory Leader/ Prime Minister.... frightening on far too many levels and 'it has a cult following' (spot the spelling error)

Mrs Brown's boys.

Similar to the silence of the lambs in that there's a cross dressing lunatic on the loose, save that he's murdering light entertainment rather than tubby birds.
