Watch the video PROPERLY, Dan. First he stops her progress by pushing her back against the pillar (not 'slamming her into it, either), then he grabs her arms in a bit of a scuffle to turn her around, then puts one hand on the back of the neck- note - NOT HER THROAT, and escorts her out of the door. By using the back of her neck, both his hands are clearly visible, so there is no possibility of her later claiming to have been touched 'inappropriately' - another favourite ploy these days.

I’ve watched it thanks. Weird trying to justify it.

There are no rules to being instinctive.
The word is self explanatory..

Aggravated trespass is a criminal offence, so you can be arrested for it.

You must be doing two things to commit aggravated trespass:
1.Trespassing
2.Intentionally obstructing, disrupting, or intimidating others from carrying out ‘lawful activities’.

I love it when the internet lawyers come out.

Do the people using phrases like ‘stormed up to him’, ‘charged up to him’ and ‘he was threatened’ actually believe what they’re saying? She’s quite literally trying to walk past him, and has already walked past countless others - but Mark Field specifically felt his life could be in danger - seriously? That’s the defence? Look at the reactions of everyone else in the room as the protest unfolds; did anyone seem threatened or fearful? Utter, utter bulls***.

This is the state of politics now that people will happily defend something like this just because it’s one of their own.

To be clear; I am not suggesting he has done anything criminally wrong or should face consequences of that nature, but I am surprised at people’s willingness to accept/defend this - it’s clear as day that he was unnecessarily rough, and his apology suggested he knows that too.

Jamesey did not mention aggravated trespass.

Nevertheless, I shall respond to that point. It is unlikely a Magistrate would find this to be aggravated (or conspiracy), hence no action taken against the perpetrators.

I refer you to my original post. I doubt any criminal wrongdoing could be proved and as such no charges are being pressed.

It is amusing you quote legislation primarily aimed at hunt saboteurs. Have you - or other HOL members - never protested about anything? I can hear the tutting from here.

Exactly. Not a court in the land.

He shouldn't have apologised.

Unlike the left where the cause is greater than fairness, when that fat knobber John "don't dare challenge my hypocrisy whilst I accept this title" Prescott bashed that idiot who egged him I thought good for you, well done.

It always amuses me that these dead beats never have the courage of their conviction to protest outside a halal butchers shop or abattoir. Yet always seem to target 'White, Conservative Middle aged men' I'm guessing it's probably more newsworthy to the frothy mouthed indignant ones like your good self.

I've never protested over anything as 1) most of them are bulls*** and 2) I work full time.

I did get f***ed over when those middle class prats glued themselves to a tube train recently though. Barely made an important client review meeting, gasping for air and sweating like a nonce in mothercare. Great impression.

I guess the question is, how important was that client meeting really? How important is anything that we do, compared to the bigger picture issues we are facing.

*notable exceptions for people that actually ‘do’ things ie tradespeople, chefs, nurses, baristas etc

If you feel clarification needs justifying, you probably need a lesson in human anatomy......the throat is at the front of the neck, the rest is just.....well, neck, and his hand was definitely not at the front!

Never protested as I work full time...

I never realised those were the rules. I work more than full time - usually about 70 hours a week yet manage my time to protest about issues I value.

My take on this is that it shows just how bonkers this nation has become. You chuck a milkshake at a low level politico and its assault. You manhandled a woman in an evening dress who was clearly part of an organised climate change demonstration and you are some sort of hero.

We increasingly are living in a world where those who mutter darkly about government and press intrusion now spend hours with an ear to the wall hoping to catch a tit bit of scandal from next door.
