No way is ward good enough. But also I donít believe Clyne is either, honestly the only ex player Iíd want right now is Moses.

As right backs go Iíd much prefer Kenny, Aarons or Reece James.

Remember Zaha at Cardiff? How he was regarded at Man U? A player's form is related to how comfortable they are in the surroundings.

I watched Clyne play right back for us and he rightly ended up with a big club like Liverpool and an International call up. He is a quality player who was recovering from injury last season and would be a great replacement for Bissaka at an affordable price.

He knows the club and this could be a question of the stars aligning at just the right time for this to happen and I'll be very pleased if it does.

Would anybody be suggesting this if he wasn't ex Palace?

Forget it, much better choices about.

Thought he was great for us but as others have mentioned he's got a reputation and hasn't done much for 2 years.

Think he's worth the gamble but it also pains me that we keep buying all of Liverpool's cast offs for sizeable fees. If the fee was £12m based on £7 upfront and £5 based on appearances or something like that, that would be much better.

£70m for Benteke, Sakho and Clyne plus the best part of £25m in wages

I'm sure he'd give his best for us but anything we could do to reduce the £12m fee would be sensible. We are becoming as you suggest a benevolent society for ex Liverpool players.

That heís ex-Palace is irrelevant. He was s fantastic player until a couple of seasons ago and, at 27/28, still has years ahead of him. If heís available for 12m or so thatís a snip.

Also donít get the stuff about us signing Liverpool cast-offs. Sakho has been fantastic for us and even Benteke had a great season before confidence. If heís good enough I donít care who he played for.

Absolutely an upgrade on Ward.

Doesnít smash the bank. In fact is cheap in todayís market.

English and home grown.

No brainier if the coke stories arenít true.

Not saying heíll be as good as AWB but heíll be more than good enough to upgrade Ward.

Iíd be lookig at Clyne plus maybe a younger full back to bring through to replace Ward as back up and take over from Clyne in a few years time.

I wouldn't think he is worth 12 million. A big time Charlie these days. He hasn't been any good for a couple of years and there have been constant press rumours of problems.
I believe he should be free. We would be stupid to offer double figures. Clearly not wanted at Liverpool.
I would only take him on a free and reduced wages. As other posters have stated would prefer a young, hungry player.

The coke rumours are more than likely true, as Liverpool wouldn't of loaned him out and had to play Milner at RB when Trent Arnold was injured.
He is on the decline now and very wealthy, we don't need to buy a known problem.
A good young prospect from lower leagues is a better move.

Yes god young prospect definitely needed, what happens if heís no better than Ward or takes a season to bed in.

Personally think we should get both, for the sake of £10m, hedge our bets and buy Clyne as well.

Clyne + Ward + young prospect.
