Bats for Zaha plus £30m job done. Sweet.

We will not entertain such a deal.
Perhaps £50 Mill.
But of course Chelsea's transfer embargo might still be in place in January.

Offer £30 million plus Benteke.

Does everybody remember when Antonio Conte wanted buy him from us and we said no?

Maybe not if he's playing Champions League.

Maybe that's why we have switched out attention to Giraud?

Batman scores late winner against Ajax in the Champions League and puts his value out of our reach, sorry to say.

An alternative view is that he missed a sitter early on, then did his best to miss the sitter that he eventually scored.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Problem use is playing a key role at Chelsea now and Giroud is looking cheap.

If Wickham, our only other striker after benteke, comes on against arsenal and scores a goal but his general display is average.

Then doesn’t play much again til January and Bristol City put in a 3m bid. Just cos he scored in one game was a bench warmer since doesn’t mean that transfer wouldn’t go thru

We are still in with a chance

I think he showed during time he was at Palace last season, that if he played 38 games for us as our favoured CF then he would hit between 15-20 goals without breaking a sweat.

Unfortunately I cant see him being let go in Jan by Frank.

Chelsea's main strikers consist of Abraham, Giroud and Batshuayi and Giroud is in his early 30s and on the fringe of the team.Chelsea are also on a transfer embargo so the chances of them allowing Batshuayi to leave are minimal at most.I think it is a case of "No hope and Bob Hope".

My thoughts exactly, he was millimetres away from cogging the second chance from only two feet out.

Looked and felt spectacular because of the way it crashed against the crossbar but he was very very nearly a massive disappointment that night.
