Think the club is going to rely on youth and inexperienced players to fill the squad this year. I think this is dangerous. AWB's don't come along too often. Our squad is thin and with the rumoured outgoings it's going to be wafer thin by August.

The positive thing about AWB is for any other player who performs very well being able to replicate a move to fame and fortune, very good news for any up and coming talent looking at us and encouraging for both sides of the fence.

More worrying if that's possible is that this time next year. Hennessey, Guaita, Sakho, Tomkins, P.V.A, Meyer, Mcarthur and Townsend will all be coming into their last year if new contracts are not sorted, I have no confidence of the board not letting it drift like they have with Luka.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Unless their is no PR from the club to inform fans of the basics of contract renewals or he has been sold that is exactly what has happened.

How we solve all that without selling Wilf and AWB is beyond most I’d have thought. Looks like our battle to stay up is only going to get more difficult, especially with prices of play rising.

They all have 2 years left so another year (12 months) to not let it ‘drift’ to 1 year left, unless we renew contracts nearer 3 years left and then everyone is on 4-5 year deals.

Precisely. Not a single one of us has even the slightest clue whether he's been offered the very best contract we can afford.

Still, if in doubt best to presume the worst and have a good old moan about it eh?
