up to last seasons accounts we had lost £60m since promotion overall.

and also in those accounts we still owed £40m in transfer fees to other clubs, so that counters the selling AWB argument.

maybe a bit of gratitude wouldn't go a miss?

i suppose he could have not spent from his own pocket and we could have got relegated in the last few seasons.

flipping beggers belief.

He sanctioned the deals and the ridiculous wages given out. It's clear now that we should never have splashed so much money on Benteke, Sakho, Cabaye and others. Yes they were fantastic deals and got the fans behind him but it clearly wasn't good for the club. He banged on that the club was now been run properly and we wouldn't get into financial trouble again....? We have little money, an ageing squad and no where near enough cover. I'd say it's a massive gamble he's taking, to stay up this season and probably a few more without spending much.

They have signed Joelinton for a reported fee of £40 Mill.
They did however get £30 Mill from the Perez sale to Leicester.

And haven't we just got £45 million for AWB?

I understand where you are coming from but it SP himself that said we must kick on and not stand still. No-one made him say that. I have always been a supporter of SP but he cannot be immune from some criticism

Is it me or have all the clubs decided to keep quiet, with suggestive targets and Agent leaks.. For me its been a better window, not to hear loads of crap.
We seem to have a lively Holmesdale.Net with all the input from fans. I guess the next couple of weeks will unfold with many so called offers.
I would like to hope Wilf stays, as he isnt assured of European football with the likes of the Gunners who should not have the opportunity of seizing him for pittance. I await the actual thoughts of Wilf once we get to the 10th.
I do somewhat fear for 2019/20 season, as without spending well, CPFC will struggle, and it could be a long haul.

Can someone clear this up please?: if a player leaves then comes back to the premier league, does he need work permit again?

Work permits follow employer not employee so yes, a new work permit required if no other status change

You are, unfortunately, absolutely correct and I do actually blame myself for getting my hopes up to begin with. After years of crap transfer windows with us leaving everything until the last minute I should know better. It’s like being in an abusive relationship, you keep going back hoping that they’ll change their ways but ultimately you’re kidding yourself.

Who have Wolves signed?

I doubt you would be happy with the signings Norwich,Sheff Utd, Watford, Brighton and Villa have made.

Parish is as Parish does.

He admitted on the FYP pod about a year ago that he truly believes you get better value for money if you wait until the last day of the transfer window!

The leathery old meerkat ain’t changing now.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Permanent deals for players they had on loan. Chelsea have spent more than us and they are under a bloody transfer ban.

Perhaps that's true but you do miss out on many decent players who have gone to other clubs who are willing to buy the players that they want rather than spend so much haggling as if they were in a Moroccan souk.

Parish spent weeks haggling over our two most expensive players before signing them at the nth hour at the selling club's original asking price

Really disappointed with the window so far, even if we manage a signing he will not be ready for the start of the season as there are only a couple of weeks to go. Still think the owners feel that we have “enough “ in the squad but the lack of goals in the pre-season suggests otherwise ! Plus we still need a right back.
