Yes, that my understanding when I did a Wikigoogle on the subject too.

On this occasion I never availed of Wiki but I am quite prepared to admit that I do avail of the Internet to provide certain facts and detailed statistics.

Thoroughly unpleasant bloke with no morals and a face like a half eaten pork pie.
Should fit in well at Newcastle.

Bruce used to stay at a hotel where my mate worked he knew him quite well and said he was a nice guy. Mind you my mates a Charlton fan so he would say that.

Apparently the tabloids are saying that the Newcastle fans are already up in arms. What exactly do they want? I have always had the feeling they are not happy unless they have a Geordie manager and a Geordie centre forward. Well they will have one of those.

I won't forgive him for leaving us for Birmingham, Birmingham for gods sake however I think he will do his usual "par" job and they will not relegated. Feel free to remind me of this at the end of the season if they do go down.

Another crap manager of the sort of level of Pardew, Hughes etc who continue to get jobs for some reason. When are these mediocre yesterday-men going to be consigned to the rubbish heap where they belong?

Newcastle fans must be s***ting themselves now. Imagine being a player in that dressing room going from training with one of the best managers in world football a couple of weeks ago to having the oracle from Benidorm roll up with his can of monster and a Greggs slice.

I was thinking about some unemployed managers only the other week, the likes of Pulis,Pardew,Hughes,Moyes,Coleman,Allardyce. Most of these have been out of work for over a year and apart from Allardyce recently, one never hears them linked to any clubs.Brighton went for Potter, Swansea for Cooper, Derby for Cocu, Middlesbrough for Woodgate,Nottm For for Lamouchi etc. I suspect they might come into consideration later in the season if certain clubs are struggling and in danger of relegation.

Alan Curbishly is regularly listed in the odds for managers roles. Don't think he has worked since Charlton wanted to move on to better things with Dowie.

Put £50 on Newcastle to be relegated when it was 7/2 - those odds will keep dropping and dropping

Curbishley managed W.Ham after Charlton but he must have been out of management now for some 10 years. He replaced Pardew at W.Ham.Never heard him linked with any clubs for years.

Yes, nailed on, Them, Seaweed and either Sheffield Utd or Norwich, But if Wilf goes add us to the list.

Someone said to me that Simon Jordan believes that Bruce could be a decent appointment for Newcastle.

He could be but it's pretty doubtful. I'm not sure Jordan is quite the best person's opinion to take. Probably better than Ashley but that's about it.
